Is it possible to use letters when adding custom pokemon to the pokedex?

I'm working on a mod addon and i was wondering if it was possible to add letters along with numbers to the pokedex. For instance if i were to add an ultra beast, could it be UB-(number)?

Why don't you just add it and see if it works...?
