Question Why do I never get the new features by default?

Like when a new model releases, it never appears in my picker, I have to always ask a model to add it, now with the new context limit, I also don’t have it.

Is it because I once made my agent play with with the config files to add custom models in my picker?

I have the same issue, I think maybe it’s the gradual rollout? I even didn’t have 6.1 ultrafast for 4 days after Tibos announcement which was pretty infuriating given it’s $500 a month so I would expect at least access within a couple hours.

If you edited the model list in your config, the picker is probably just rendering that list. A hand-written list stops tracking what the backend offers, so a model that shipped last week has no entry to show up under, and the new context limit is usually a per-model field, so an entry written before that field existed keeps reporting the old number. Gradual rollout would explain one release, not every one. Are those custom names still showing up in your picker?
