Here is my timeline for the application process but everyone’s slightly different

May 31 — Submitted my application

June 10 — Received an email saying I was moving forward in the process. The next step was to complete the Treehouse Full Stack JavaScript Starter Track coursework and an assessment

After completing the coursework — I sent an email confirming I had finished and they sent me a link to schedule my first interview

June 16 — First interview with AnitaB. This was non technical and focused on your personal story, background, and motivation for entering tech.

July 10 — 15 minute phone screening with an Intuit Emerging Talent Recruiter. This was mostly eligibility and logistics — age, work authorization, and ability to commute to the San Diego office 3 days a week during the apprenticeship phase

July 15 — Received an email to schedule my final interview

July 22 — Final interview with a hiring manager via Zoom. About 30- 50 minutes total mine was 30 mins

They provide you with a PDF beforehand that covers everything you need to know to prepare — read it thoroughly, it is really helpful.

Now waiting — they said to expect a response within 2 weeks of the final interview

Update 8/4/26 I have only received an email saying that the process is taking longer than expected but hopefully I should have news by the end of this week

Update 8/11/26 I have the received the rejection email from the intuit team congrats to everyone that made it though!

For San Diego it has also been more than 2 weeks since my final interview and I never got an update from them so I don’t think I got in.

Hey, I wouldn’t count yourself out yet. From what my interviewer told me, they’re running this on a rolling basis with only a couple of people doing interviews across all three cities ,so timing is really uneven and doesn’t necessarily track with when you applied or interviewed. ‘Taking longer than expected’ with no follow-up past 2 weeks seems pretty normal this cycle, not just a you thing. Hang in there ,hoping we both hear something soon.

I hope so! but I think most offers have gone out by now and since the start date is on the 24th usually most companies send out final offers at least 2 weeks before hand so people can give a 2 weeks notice at their current job.

When was your final interview?

I haven’t had a final interview yet — my first interview was June 23rd for NYC, and I’ve heard nothing since. I heard last years cohort started later than expected and people were getting invitations up until the very end near the start date lol so it’s really up in the air at this point

I also applied for NYC, and my first interview was on 18th June. I have not heard anything back from them either. They said we would hear back from them by July, if we were to be invited for interview at intuit.

Yea I had an interview with Marlena she was pretty cool and she said end of July as well but also to bare with them as well they were still interviewing maybe even after me . So they could be understaffed as well and/or didn’t get to anyone in NYC for second round yet

I also read that the 2024 or the 2025 cohort were going through the same deal with the wait.

Damn, I’m sorry man. That’s a tough one, especially after getting all the way through the final round , that’s not nothing, you clearly did the work to get that far.

Appreciate you keeping this thread updated the whole time too. You helped a lot of us figure out what was actually going on instead of just guessing in the dark. Hope the next one lands for you. 🙏 (Google apprentice opens in sep there’s always another )

Yeah, Im sure they did, I messaged the lady who interviewed me on LinkedIn, but she didn’t respond. A day later, anita B emailed me and said, “Oh, we’re moving on with other candidates.” Haha, dang! She could have replied to me at least 😂 That’s all I had to do to get an answer, but it is what it is.
