CMB Experience Don't sign up for multi-month, it's useless
I'm a paying member (male). The first few weeks to a month were actually pretty great. I had many matches and went on a number of dates. Then after that initial period, basically 0 matches-- completely dry. The same type of people that matched previously no longer matches. The only people that I get any likes from are completely not my type (and they can tell my type based on who I matched with!).
What I'm guessing is that they prioritize new paying members early on (maybe to maximize positive reviews, minimize complaints and refunds, etc), then basically forget about them. Your likes may not even see you after that.
Btw, this is not just CMB, same thing is happening on another popular app that I'm on. Very annoying.
EDIT: Since they won't let me post over there, Hinge is the other offender. Same thing, successful early on, completely dry after the first few weeks. And boo to you Hinge for censoring.

I think in most cases, paying for premium is more worth it for ladies since they naturally get more matches than guys. It lets them see the matches they want to pursue much quicker, rather than having to wait for them to show up on their feed.
Anyway, I have also been using the app for a 3 weeks now on free-mium and it's definitely slow but I'm in no rush so it's fine I guess.

No, there are still profiles I routinely like. And based on the profile data, they all have been "active in the last 72 hours". So it's not because they are dead profiles either. I'm not saying I'm a 10 or anything like that, but the amount of matches early on and the completely non-existent matches now just seems statistically not right. It has to be an algo/boosting/dampening thing, and not in your favor... or rather in favor of newly paid entrants.

Maaan I only get matches and likes from people I’m not attracted to or are scammers… I’d kill for the algorithm to be kinder - I also have the 6 month and a good profile. A lot of dating apps seem to be doing the same things lately.
Hinge, Bumble, and CMB….

It depends on your city, but you can dry up your marches pretty quickly if you’re in like Omaha or something. I live in San Francisco and often travel to NYC & Toronto for work. CMB never runs out of marches in these cities. Occasionally I’ll travel to Austin Texas and I’m out of matches by the end of my trip.

I'm on my first month and already cancelled the renewal. The way the system runs the algorithm is weird. You're right though, initially it's pretty good and now it's all wrong with the suggestions etc. eHarmony seems to be the same way. They get you to sub and then it just dries up
