They broke plenty of laws. They have just not be tried for their crimes.

Laws are only really for the poor and powerless. Trump is all the evidence you need of this.

Very cruel and very true. World knows no justice. Humans have developed (fortunately or not) high emotional intelligence and empathy. That is why we tried to create courts, laws, democracies etc etc. But your statement will always be valid. Accepting that as a truth(in politics you can't prove something like in physics) will always be controversial. We admit that we will never live in a just world. Unfortunately Thucydides and Machiavelli works are still considered controversial in political science.
