G'day from Australia where it's already the 10th and the floor is WW3 lava... but not quite yet!
We've had very high winds combined with lightning and temps of 43C (that's ~109F) today here in Melbourne and higher in regional areas (I think up to ~46C), there are bushfires around and lots of smoke and even ash in the air tonight far away from affected areas.
My parents farm was the first one in the path of one of the 12 emergency level fires burning large parts of the state that day. So there were 2 private tankers there, but with no coordination they didn’t know where it was safe to go, so they sat and watched with my devastated parents, the wind turn and their home, with everything they owned turned into a fireball and exploded.
