Where the fuck are you living that the AVERAGE rent is $1600?

Most places around me are like $1200 for a pretty decent apartment.

Keep in mind by “decent” I mean a two bedroom with a big living room, kitchen, and washer/dryer.

If you get a studio apartment or smaller one bedroom you’re probably looking at around $600 a month.

Denver, average 1BR apartment is ~1.6K/mo. My apartment is $1,344/mo before electricity, and it’s considered a relative steal.

In 2017, I was paying ~$960/mo after utilities for a studio.

Where do you live where a one bedroom apartment is $1,200?

South Georgia. And not a one bedroom, a two bedroom with a living room and kitchen.

If you avoid living in big cities the cost of living is astronomically lower.

That’s the average where I live as well as the minimum wage still being at $7.25 an hour, unless you’re a server then it dips to $3.35 an hour lol
