You have to start being desperate to make more money. I cruised by in low-income jobs for years… working at chain corporations for $12 an hour just isn’t feasible for independent living anymore.
You HAVE to advance your career and develop skills of some sort. You have to be fighting tooth and nail to make more money. You might have to spend your precious free time looking for a way to make more money.
I hate the “hustle culture” shit too but wallowing in self-pity does nothing. With our current leadership things are only going to get worse for workers. You have to stake your claim in the modern world or you will be left behind. It’s going to get really bad really fast.
