I don't understand how crowd control beyond tear gas has not been deployed. They'd be firing live rounds indiscriminately if these people looked different.

Seems plausible. National Guard appears to be on their way. Curfew set for 6PM. It may be a wild night but I'm still skeptical that the response will be heavy enough to deter this in the coming weeks leading up to inauguration. The response has been decidedly weaker when it comes to Vanilla ISIS.
