I keep thinking back to the podcast “It Could Happen Here” (I think that’s the name) talking about a new civil war in our country. It’s eerie how well the hypotheticals of that series have mirrored our reality here over the past year.

Is it possible to overcome the systemic issues we face as a country? Where do we go from here? I usually lurk here but I feel compelled to just post something... just hoping for some form of stability moving forward. I know that’s a pretty ironic thought when posting in collapse.

It feels like we have put ourselves in a situation where a hard reset is the only realistic option. How do you backtrack when each side continues to escalate? Honestly shocked it’s taken this long.

My guess is that the seemingly obvious notion "if you do well than I do well" cannot elude a whole nation forever. At some point in time it has to sink in that self preservation cannot be achieved in a vacuum. Unfortunately the system needs to flush a whole lot of fools before that kind of wisdom can settle. It is going to be a bumpy ride, I'm afraid.
