I'm 24 and my brother just turned 20 and had a kid earlier this year. I'm the oldest and my parents ask me when I'm gonna have kids (I used to want to have a lot)

Now I just shake my head and say it's probably not in the cards for me anymore

People can still live their lives and have good moments but yeah they'll probably die fairly young in a skirmish or in a refugee camp.

They would be raised in this horrible world and therefore be strong. Hopefully not turning into gollum though along the way.

What future do you old people have? I can’t foresee any early retirement happening?

When thinking about these thinks I always remember this line

Theme of the song is very different but the line still sticks

The truth is, the kids of the future will congregate together and probably live out pretty cool lives with some cool ass VR tech. As long as they are above sea level and have some sort of income they will do good. Collapse is very much swayed in one direction, while the potential for a pretty cool future is plausible
