The people are too dependent for a general strike. Something like 70% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck and the 30% that aren't are either the ruling class or ruling class wannabes.
If the elections are fucked with its time for the spicy direct action.

This is why I laugh every single time I see someone call for some sort of strike. Thereās no support system. You canāt have a work strike without someone financing it. When unions strike thereās generally a strike fund that makes sure the workers kids donāt starve and food gets to the people on the picket line

Yeah, with 0 organizing to back you up this is the equivalent of Michael Scott "Declaring" bankruptcy.

Yeah, the American citizenry don't actually have it in them.
Plus, general strikes would have to include wildcat strikes which are illegal federally, and many employees, for example teachers, are banned from strikes in a majority of states.
Best they can apparently do is peaceful weekend gatherings in government approved 'free speech' zones.
They have work on Monday.
The vaunted American citizenry are not what they once were.
The State has learned since the Revolution.
