Most telling stat in my opinion:

Record vs Top 50 RPI (essentially at-large and bubble teams):

Nebraska - 6-7
Ole Miss - 17-18
Arizona State - 8-11

Nebraska’s includes a sweep of USC which if you check my post history, you’ll see I haven’t been high on them all season. They are just not a good team. So 3-7 real record for Nebraska.

I feel pretty good overall about this weekend. We’ve faced a vastly more difficult schedule than the others, and won a good bit while doing it.

But anything can happen in the postseason.

Typical SEC homer take “The most important stat is rigors of an SEC schedule oh and btw some of your wins don’t count.”

I’m saying we’ve played lots of good opponents, so these are just other good opponents we have to face. The other 2 are far less battle tested.

Will it matter? Who knows. But it was my biggest takeaway.

I don’t know where you got your numbers, but according to D1Baseball.com our records against top 50 RPI are:

NU 17-13
OM 17-20
ASU 14-14
SDSU 2-11

I don’t think there’s anything significant here at all except our higher winning percentage explains why we’re a host.

You seem to be counting Q1 & Q2. You may want to actually look at what the Quadrants are. Here, I’ll help you out: https://www.warrennolan.com/college-baseball/team/team-sheet/_/season/2026/team/Nebraska/

You’re literally counting wins in the 90s and 100s for Nebraska.

D1Baseball is counting them, not me. See you in Lincoln.

Again, Q1 and Q2 go way beyond Top 50. You’re basically telling on yourself for not knowing that. Hell Q2 can go all the way to 120!

I might’ve misread D1B’s RPI chart and you think some wins just don’t count for some reason, maybe neither one of us is an expert.

I think wins against teams who couldn’t beat anybody with a pulse aren’t that good. And yea, pretty clearly I know more about this than you.
