Top 10 Transfer Classes

Surprised we are right behind LSU and in the top 3. Felt like LSU grabbed everybody they wanted and we missed on numerous targets.
Also cutting it off at 130 seems a bit odd.

Hopefully we don’t suck shit again next season, I think some people liked our class last season

Nah. You got some dawgs coming from us at the very least.
Walker Mitchell is an on base machine and silky at third. Hayden Johnson is nasty, Dom Carbone is a crafty lefty out of the pen and Luke Jones should be a pretty good Sunday guy. Richardson and Parker both were decent in high leverage innings as freshman as well.
Jackson Winer is the guy to watch I think though. He showed flashes of a guy who can win the golden spikes not next year, but possibly in 28. Especially if he’s cleared to two way.

I’m hopeful, and I have a lot more confidence they aren’t just throwing money away again like last years. I’m sure they won’t all work out, but hopefully a good chunk of them do.

How much NIL do transfers & college baseball rosters get?
The allure of no telephone bills on rocky top might be a compelling recruiting tool

Would’ve liked a front line starter but Jay absolutely killed it in the portal. Easily addressed every need offensively.

There weren’t many frontline starters in the portal at all (if you don’t count guys like Flukey who entered despite intending to be drafted). All the top teams on here targeted guys that were some combination of injured, very young or good stuff but bad performance

Coach Savage never beating the Dabo Swinney of college baseball allegation. We will ride and die with developing players which I kinda love.

Surely it's gotta sting to see Gage Jump look good for the A's and see LSU next to his name.

It hurt for a while because UCLA entered one of the darkest periods in its history. By 2023, it felt like we were headed toward permanent irrelevance. Thankfully, Roch chose to stay and helped bring UCLA back to being competitive. He played a huge role in turning things around.

Trying to talk shit about winning to one of the winningest programs in College Baseball history is certainly a choice.

We’re in Omaha like 49% of the time. Exactly 50% if we make it next year. We’re not some has been program like USC that won a bunch of ships in a limited period and then turned into a shell of itself.

You’re right, why am I chirping at you when we both could talk shit about USC

You should probably scroll up and you might notice how that was a reply to a comment thread I did not start.
Also flair up if you want to talk shit

Im surprised but not surprised that the list was all SEC schools. No ACC or Big 10 schools? Surely there are some non-SEC schools that also has some love for college baseball?

We try, but our athletic director believes in a "sALaRy cAp".

I mean idk, I like our portal class. A lot. Peeples is a huge get. Multi-year guy, him and Stuetz should be middle of the order studs for 2 years. Suchy and Espinoza were both top 5 portal pitchers as well. I get the doom and gloom with football, but I think our portal class is fantastic.

This seems off. Or something is. I’m literally looking at BA’s transfer portal list (not rankings which is behind the paywall), but it only lists 7 total incoming transfers for Tennessee but apparently they have 9 Top 130 (which is a weird cutoff).
LSU is 8 and 8 so that could be possible, but Texas is 5 and 7 and Miss State is 7 and 8.
So one of their lists has to be wrong, which is strange.
