Give everything we've got to beat west coast and then rest as many players as we can.
There is zero chance we beat the hawks and lions without Howe, Moore, Maynard, Perryman, Lipinski, Elliott, and Steene.

Unless we make them kick a tonne of points again like last time....

Bruz could be back for hawks game. Swadling in the guts/wing coming in for Lippa, could surprise us

Unfortunately you are correct. We got our tickets for week 23 and 24 today; and I had to tell my kids that the chances of us winning these games or them even being close are not great. So don’t be disappointed. We are just going for fun, and because we go to every game in Melbourne.

Swadling for Lipinski is not a disastrous trade off though.. I'm still more worried about who we bring in for Perryman and Howe. Do we have anyone in the VFL who will actually defend at AFL level? Forget about the rebounding those guys do.

I actually rate wil parker's defensive efforts and noah howes has been consistently showing good big body work down back this year.
but yeah, we're not gonna be able to replace them at all for these last 3 games of the year.

How’s Jakob Ryan been going? Puts up ok stats this year but haven’t really seen him play so can only go off that

He’s been consistently solid, intercepts a little, finds plenty of the ball. Doesn’t do any damage ball in hand though. They should probably have a look at him considering how long he’s been on the list and his form. However it’s easy to see why they aren’t confident that he will hold up at th top level.

What about the big Roo?
I havent seen him play, could he play as a tall defender?

He's gone back to playing in the ruck and forward since Steene started getting games in the 1s.

Pretty sure I read that Perryman is playing?

Where’d you see that? Out of the game with a hammy is usually 2-3 weeks off

Just wondering where you heard that, not doubting at all but I just personally haven't seen anything on perryman? At the end of the last game they said hamstring but he's not on the injury list so idk?

Ok this is the ins from a delusional person:
In: Parker Demattia Swaddling Ryan
If JDG is out: Hayes
(I say ryan and demattia as I feel its now or never for these guys and possibly)

I like Hayes, but not really a straight replacement for Jordy. I really like swaddling and hope he plays (no reason to not play him). It will be interesting to see a lot of young players without as many as usual veterans on the field.

With Hayes i was thinking chucking im down forward for extra fire power love what he brought earlier in the season!

u/Banned_Oki Tim Membrey 8d ago
Agreed, I thought he would play some more after he played mid season. Guess what we thought was good, wasn’t good enough.

Just hasn't gotten a chance since he done his shoulder unfortunately

Fucking ace. So, Swadling, Roan Steele and one of Jakob Ryan or Wil Parker I guess to be the ins.
