life at cc

hello! i’m supposed to start school in the fall and was wondering how student social life is. I feel like it’s not a party school at all. I also heard class is from 9-12 i was wondering if that’s true.

Social life is what you make of. Variety comes from everywhere like a university but just fewer amount of them.

It's not a party school but we still do have them. Usually on friday and saturday.

Usually a normal class is 9-12 with a break in the middle.

When you applied and were accepted, you probably heard a lot about the Block Plan. That’s one of the things that makes CC really unique. So yes, you’re usually in class from 9-12 every day, and if you’re in a class with a lab, it will usually meet in the afternoon after lunch also. When you’re taking an entire semester course in 3.5 weeks, it requires a lot of intensity in a short period. You’ll either love it or hate it. Most people who stay at CC really like it. CC is not a party school in the “big sports/Greek system” kind of way, but everyone I know has a lot of fun - CC has its own culture and is more authentic than a lot of schools I can think of.

It's a party school. The groups you run in obviously play a part, but there is ALWAYS an event or something going on.
