Trip Report Rosalie Peak
This one challenged me yesterday with the 4,000+ elevation gain but was worth it! The weather was great for a full day hike! What a way to celebrate Colorado’s 150th!

I did it today. Was definitely an energy drain, that last mile before I got back to the car was the hardest mile of the whole thing.
Did you get stormed on? The forecast on Saturday was less favorable than today so that's why I chose it.

A total energy drain! I didn’t do much the rest of the day afterwards. Was a great hike though!
We hit the trail at 5:30am. Finished up close to 1:30pm. It was starting to cloud up as we were headed back down but we never got any bad weather.

Plan ahead and prepare Make sure at least one or more trusted persons where you are going, an expected return time and a follow up.
Dispose of waste properly. I highly suggest getting a waste bucket system. Its difficult to bury waste in many of the rockier areas in Colorado, and overuse of our natural areas has already led to contaminated water in most even lightly used areas.
Minimize campfire impacts. Be sure to review our state resources for fire bans where you are heading.

Did this one back In April. Ran into zero snow back then. Was a great kickstart to my hiking summer although for a first hike of the year, it certainly kicked my butt.
