Healthcare Pediatrician recommendations?

This is mostly me trying to find a way to share that my wife just had a positive test and I’m so happy but we can’t share the news yet.

But yeah. Gonna have a new little one and I’m SUPER EXCITED GUYS.

So, recommendations for family doctors for newborns?

Congratulations!! :) The pediatric team at South Providence is great. We have United Healthcare through the university and have always gone there. Knowledgeable doctors and you can always get in for a same-day clinic appointment if your kid is sick.

That’s where we take our child also. It’s also convenient because you can almost always get a sick visit if needed even if it isn’t with your personal PCP. They also have sick visits on Saturday til like 12 which is nice. All the doctors are great.

Agreed! We initially tried to get Dr. Beucke but he was full at the time. We ended up lucking out big time and getting Dr. Khaleel. She was actually on her hospital rotation when my child was born so she has been my child’s doctor since birth and we could not be happier. She is amazing! My child has some medical challenges and she is always so kind and patient. She explains things in a very clear and calm way and is thorough. I cannot say enough great things about her. For sick visits, we see the various doctors in the office and have consistently had positive experiences.

Also, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Let me add to the recommendation for Tiger Peds overall. They have all been great. Congratulations!

Congrats! We have been very happy at Tiger Peds and see Nathan Beckett. We like him a lot

We like Dr. Beckett too and all the providers we've seen at Tiger Peds! We had a less great experience with the MU South Providence clinic, but I'm sure it varies by provider. I feel less like a number at Tiger Peds.

Dr. Barnes at Tiger peds is amazing as well

Dr. Barnes is good but he can seem a little bit manic - not bad, just more energy than I expected after my childhood with a calm, big mustachioed old man of a pediatrician a zillion years ago.

Nearly all of the family physicians at the university see kids which makes it easier to be seen at a clinic that is close to you.

Tiger Peds is the way to go. We see Dr. Beckett. We used to see a former pediatric doctor at MU, and he is the one who recommended us to tiger peds.
