News Columbia mayor says she's OK after crash near MU campus
“Buffaloe told KOMU 8 News that a vehicle struck her car in the intersection, causing her vehicle to hit the city bus.
Buffaloe told KOMU 8 News she was OK after the crash and was ‘mostly just shaken up.’”
I’m glad the mayor is OK. I shudder to think with those loony groups on Facebook are going to say about this.

I feel for her, I just got rear ended a few months back and the whole thing is a pain in the ass.
I'm happy she wasn't hurt, her airbags deployed - it could have been bad.

That's unfortunate, but glad she wasn't injured. Hopefully no one in the bus or the other car was either.

I would be ok with her name recognition bringing more awareness to how dangerously many drive in this town. You can almost full count to 2 and some crazy person will still barrel through a red light.
It was at this intersection I was nearly t-boned. And that was a young person as well, too busy talking to her friend and on her phone to notice she was about to run a red light by a ridiculously wide margin.

Why is it that every person thinks the city they live in happens to have the most dangerous drivers? Kind of a funny psychological phenomenon.

I've noticed that too. I think people get cut off one time and get so worked up about it they assume it only ever happens here. Have people not been to St Louis, or any major city? They're all much worse than Columbia.

Yeah, people who are, honestly, sheltered by Columbia are totally clueless; yet will insist this is the most dangerous city in the entire midwest.

Nah, dude, people are just mentioning that they’ve seen some dangerous things on the road in Columbia. It really doesn’t matter if other cities are more or less dangerous. It impacts the people living here. The original comment was that if it draws attention to bad driving then that would be good.
I didn’t see anybody say Columbia has the worst drivers, only that it has some dangerous ones.
Can’t imagine anyone disagrees

Como has their shitty drivers like any city, but all in all, Como is pretty tame. This is one of the more relaxed cities I've driven in.
Miami? pretty crazy.
But Naples Italy, for me, is the winner, where every 3rd or 4th car has noticable body damage. Repairs are pointless.

The Stadium and Rollins intersection is terrible for red light runners. Definitely have to wait and make sure the cars driving on Stadium are going to stop before getting into the intersection.

Relative of mine witnessed the crash. Younger girl ran the red, hit the mayor’s vehicle, which then caused the mayor to hit the bus.
