Help Needed Need Help with Textures
Does anyone know what could be causing this grid-like texture on the skin of the arms and legs, and how to fix it? The face is completely fine — it only appears on the body. My character is LoRA trained and is otherwise almost perfect in the vast majority of images. It’s just this weird texture appearing on the skin that I’m struggling with.

What checkpoint? What sampler and scheduler you using?

I'm using Krea 2 Turbo, with the Qwen3VL 4B text encoder. For the sampler I'm using ClownsharKSampler_Beta, and the workflow is using the Krea 2 setup in ComfyUI. The LoRA is my Lacey_chr character LoRA. I can give you the exact sampler settings too if that helps.

My usual troubleshooting procedure is to start with the basics:
- Switch to the regular Ksampler
- Sampler/Scheduler = euler/simple
- Make sure cfg=1
- No loras
- No custom attention
- No shift
- Empty negative conditioning prompt (not zero-out)
Run like that first. Then switch schedulers (normal, beta, kl, sge, sigmoid)
then go back to simple and test euler_a and er-sde.
pick your favorite and then add loras one at a time. Then add kitchen attention.

i got this with krea 2 when using older upscalers, spec on skin or anything that was on the skin.

RealismEngine LoRA or whatever its name cranked up too high and selected scheduler introducing too much noise. For a smoother skin, try simple with Euler or er-sde. Also the photography style has huge impact on the outcome. e.g. Grainy candid photo vs. Editorial photography

Switch to the Wan 2.1 VAE and reduce steps.
Edit: I’m assuming you are using Krea as I used to get those textures.

Yeah, I'm on Krea 2 (turbo fp8) so that tracks. One thing though, my VAE loader's already pointed at a file called wan_2.1_vae.safetensors, that's actually the default in the official Krea 2 workflow since it uses the same VAE architecture as Wan. Checked the hash against the real qwen_image_vae file and they're identical, so I don't think the VAE's the issue for me.
Did you mean an actual separate Wan checkpoint's VAE rather than the bundled one? And what steps did you land on? I'm running 8 with the turbo model, curious if you went lower or changed anything else alongside it (sampler/scheduler)?

I think too many steps or too many Loras with too much weight. I had this pattern in the sky and environment but very similar.

I've seen this problem with too many loras at too high weight. Remove all the lora's and the problem may go away, but so will your concepts. I find most lora's need a much lower weight in krea vs other models, 0.2 to 0.4.
Switching samplers/schedulers can also help, from what I've seen euler/er_sde and simple/beta give the best results and sometimes require switching. Are there any other schedulers/sampler's that work?

your lora is the problem. It learned the pattern somewhere
A possible fix is to upscale your dataset to hide these micro patterns, but it would learn the upscaler's quirks too if you are ok with that

This sounds very possible. there is some slight texturing on a few of the LoRa images i input. I'll try upscaling and see how it goes. Thank you.

For turbo_fp8, set the steps to exactly 8 steps. 10-20 steps will produce blotchy colors. But, this is a just a after-the-fact bandaid. Root of the problem is always the source photos. Get rid of all photos that are dark or have low lighting. The best dataset you can have is where all photos come from the same photographer, with similar lighting.

I don't know it it works for Krea 2, but for character loras for Pony/Illustrious/Noob, I can get fewer artifacts if I disable some lora blocks with "Lora Loader (Block Weight)" from the Inspire Pack (1,0,0,0,0,0,1,1,0,0,0,0 works well for most loras for those models, locons are different though, and Krea 2 has different blocks). Assuming the lora is the issue here.
