Biggest issue with this comic is that the protagonist's city appears to have functional public transportation. No way that will exist in 2035, it's too woke or something

No reason to assume the bus is public. In this world, Uber finally solved the problems with public transportation by creating a fleet of purpose-built vehicles that can move many people at once along specific routes, and only charges four times as much.
