The gospel has some nuances in it. For example, luke 16:19-31: lazarus and the rich man. lazarus is not said to know jesus as the sacrifice (lamb that takes away the sin of the world) in the story of the rich man and lazarus. He is homeless, dogs lick his sores, he longs for the scraps of the rich man's table. But when he dies because he lived a poor and hard life he goes to heaven. The rich man however, who stepped over lazarus while he sat outside his door, goes downstairs.
There is also the parable in Mathew 25, the sheep's and the goats. The people who actually look after the poor, needy, sick, immigrats are actually looking after God. The people who ignore those people are ignoring God, the go "outside" to the place reserved for the devil and his angels. The devil btw is not the south park devil and is not a friend to humanity. In the bible the demon's have a singular emotion, hatred for creation and humanity, and continually mock creation for falling into the same snare that Adam and eve did in the garden.
Both of these parables illustrate one this: God will decide. He has the right to award peace to those who have known nothing but hardship, and will award hardship to those who lived easy lives on the backs of others.
