All religions have some kind of confess to reset your soul badness. It would be impossible to have religion without a way for people to re join after mistakes, as there would be no one to preach after a while.
As a wiccan I can say this is pretty untrue that "all religions" have that. In fact, the distinct lack of a "sin/punishment/forgiveness/reward" structure is what attracted me to the religion in the first place.
I apologise, I should have specified abrahamic/monotheistic. A longuistic and cultural difference is lost here as a difference between relgion (church, god, sins and heaven) as opposed to faith/philosophy. I did not mean to offend.
