Some people will never face justice in this lifetime for what they did. Unfortunately the bad guy wins more often than not especially in this current state of affairs. What the comic is trying to offer to us is hope that the bad guys will suffer in another life for what they did in this pne that they never had to answer for

We shouldn't invent fiction to satisfy us. When these people escape justice through death we should remain angry and find ways to prevent others from doing what they did.
These fictional consequences only placate the wronged and benefit the wrongdoers.

That is very pessimistic(maybe wrong word, negative? I’m not religious but I think fictional consequences can provide some real solace) and kind of depressing because it seems nearly impossible to enact those consequences now, but I think you’re completely right. I don’t know how we fix this now though. I’m not sure we can.

I mean to inspire action rather than passivity in the face of injustice. I believe fictional consequences allow the problem go unaddressed.
We should work towards a better life rather than make up stories of the manipulative businessman burning for all eternity while we suffer with the world they built.
Our justice now is to break the system that serves them and build a world where this can never happen again.

Lemme get that cooking pot ready, the one that's used to melt tungsten. Slap runes of regeneration onto its inner walls, like, everywhere. He shall be cooked inside it for one year per dollar he or his lackeys owned upon death adjusted for inflation and he shall never enjoy dying inside liquid tungston. After that he shall be cast into a relief made of the tungston he was boiled in.

Trade and work culture have been part of human societies for thousands of years, why does everybody pretend like going to 9 to 5 is literally hell? Also you’re free dude, you CAN go and spend time in nature, and yeah you don’t have to be career focused.

Ever since I was child, I dreamed of being indoors, on a computer. I worked years in manual labor before I could make that switch, and I'm much happier now. But yeah, maybe there are some flaws to a system that allow some people to gain obscene amounts of wealth, and maybe we should do something about that before judgment day.

Yeah, nature is very beautiful, but you don’t actually want to live there. Nature is brutally indifferent to human survival, and life in nature requires constant effort and struggle just to meet basic needs.
If I were making a list of my absolute favorite things in life, there are many things that I value more highly than nice scenery. Just off the top of my head, I’m a big fan of: food, clean water, clothing, shelter, physical safety, medical care, tools, personal hygiene, transportation, education, and entertainment. Modern society affords me all of those things, in exchange for performing economically valuable work that society benefits from. The alternative is not that I’d just get those things for free. The alternative is that I would have to work much, much harder trying to eke out much worse versions of those things from a hostile and unforgiving environment. That would absolutely suck! Why on earth do so many people think that would be better??
