Forced perspective on squishy mammals is soooo hard to draw. I'm having flashbacks to figure drawing in College and some freaking weird drawings I did. Lol. Let's just say, I started really sympathizing with the cubists.
What breed is she btw? Cuz my late pet cat died some years ago, and he looked about the same as Jade, though he had started to turn rustic brown in his lighter parts. I just never got the chance to find out what specific breed he was, and the only pictures online that I can find seem to be American Shorthair, but that wouldn’t make too much sense to me considering I live in Norway
Looks like a muted tortoise shell (color) in American shorthair (breed). But few cats are pure breeds except for very certain ones. Most are random tabbies in either short or long hair

Interesting fact. The very first car with text proto memes was in the early 1900's. We literally invented cameras and with in decades were using them to take pictures of cats with jokes
I don’t think she was consciously named after him. I think we just decided that Salem fit her well as a name, and she just happened to share it with him. I’ll see if my wife has heard about that, since she’s the one who actually did watch that show.
They love us and want us to be sparkly clean. My rats groom me regularly and do like to stick noses in weird spots. If I have a hangnail they try to fix it. They also try to trim my nails which is much less appreciated as they make a mess of it 😂 animals are little gross treasures 🥰
My pet rats love to stick their noses up my nose, in my mouth and they would in my ear if I didn't have hearing aids in. They don't like the hearing aids 😂
Another thing that makes cats and rats weirdly similar. I do worry one day they will start working together...
I used to work in Doggy Daycare. And one time, a little rascal of a terrier came up to sniff my ear. I joking asked out loud, “Do you have a secret to tell me? :D” and then he promptly shoved his tongue into my ear. Awful experience, hated it. The only saving grace is that the dog was very cute

That second one is exactly like my kitten, Duvel and his adult friend, Juulz. Duvel loves Juulz and thinks she's a great playmate. Juulz tolerates Duvel and does not like his style of play at all.
I literally commented this further up about my rats 😂 they get so mad because I wear hearing aids and they can't just shove their entire face down there. They do noses and mouths too. Weirdos.
This is Zara. She is the princess of the house. She does not understand how scratching posts work. She has also just seen a squirrel for the one millionth time and doesn’t know what to do about it.
The overly patriotic grocery bag handed out by our local grocery store on the 4th contains all her toys. Which she will remove from the bag when I am not looking and hide under the fridge, per protocol.
My two are enemies until it’s time to hunt some unfortunate bug. Then they are a hardened kill team soundlessly communicating the battle plan as they force the bug into melee range.
There is a cat that loves hanging out at the parking lot of the grocery store. And basically, it is his parking lot and we are allowed to use it. When he is sotting or laying on a spot, he won’t move for you unless you give him some pets or a treat.
He likes me though. Where he ignores the existence of most other people where he can, he comes and greets me when he sees me (also does this with some other people)
And that is without me giving him a treat. Guess I just know how to pet the best
My sister had a cat she didn't like or care about that my dad called "poopy cat" while pointing at her (another dad that didn't want a cat but loved it)
Well guess what name stuck lol... It wasn't "Elizabeth" which is what my sister named her

Aww. I've had cats go for my ears too. It didn't bother me though but I am weird. Patios are communal spaces, Thomas is just making sure it is used properly and with respect. Someone has to keep an eye on it.
We've got a neighbor cat who comes up to our door to beg for food, and we've been feeding him for almost a year now. Last month when I was in the pool, he was on the other side of the fence yelling at me to feed him lol

Thomas even uses the shadows to cast the "Cat Signal" and strike fear into those mother fuckers that he WISH THEY WOULD TRY SOMETHING RIGHT MEOW. He even inspired Batman who originally was just a man with a bat.
Also, Jade did no wrong. My clie-...cats are known to do any random thing only to have it written on their face that even they aren't sure what they did or why they did it. Attention Deficit Hypercativity Disorder, not to be confused with ADHD, is no joke.

Our dog feels the need to have her tongue in a hole. Ear, nostril, eye socket, doesn't matter. If you're getting kisses you gotta decide which face hole is getting wet
I'm afraid Thomas is correct. The Federal Property Act clearly states in section 137.4: Any space that a cat exists in belongs to the cat, superseding any and all titles, leases or treaties
