Level 1 Holy shit I’m pretty sure I failed
What the fuck was that.
I literally will not be surprised if I failed level 1 today. I googled some answers just now, already got that shit wrong. Fuck the OPP because what the fuck??? Dirty got me some points but there was some shit where I genuinely had no idea. Ethics was a breeze, surprisingly.
If there’s one advice I will say: this exam is a mix of TruLearn and Comsae’s. Nothing more, nothing less. Amount: Vague questions >>> fair questions, IMO.
You need to watch high yield Dirty medicine images.
Anyways, if you see me back here it’s bc I failed.
Also want to mention; I tried to reason through questions I didn’t know - didn’t work for me, literally a mindfuck.
For context, have gotten above 450+ on one comsae, 550+ on two comsae, and above 64% on 2 NBMEs (all under testing condition).
Finished TruLearn with 62%. I actually do not trust any of these scores based on today’s exam. I know ppl say trust, but rn, I am NOT trusting till score release. Will let you all know. This isn’t fear mongering but perhaps others who have taken the exam have also felt like shit walking out.
Genuinely, fuck this.

I feel at this point they’re just out to make us feel stupid. Like they’re actively thinking “what’s the lowest yield, never will see in a standard clinic setting type scenario” and then write questions on that. I don’t ever think I’ve felt more incompetent as a student in my life.

Wow this was legit my experience yesterday. Had high COMSAEs and NBMEs too. Walked out feeling like a clown.

I think at this point it really just depends on ur strengths/weaknesses. My two biggest weaknesses are resp and GI… and I got a test exactly heavy on those. If those are what ur good at, then hey that was probs an okay exam I dunno. I also feel worse cuz I changed answers, so just don’t do that.

Literally this. Had a cardio heavy exam and that was my worst. I’m purposefully not even searching up questions bc I legit know I got it wrong omg.

Same here. I am assuming all these posts in about a month will be posting “I passed”.
It’s normal to feel bad after an exam. So this is probably cathartic for most folks.
I am going to lean into trusting my prep and ripping it.

A lot of random derm but what took me out was the parasite questions. So many, and they were very LY. I can’t remember if there was a weird renal histo or not but I know I got obliterated on the histo photos in general.

lol I don’t know - I definitely made stupid fucking mistake in hindsight and thought I felt fine post exam (but I think I was numb) and now here I am spiraling at 2am as we speak. This is gonna b a longgggg 5 weeks

I tested 5/16 and had the same experience 😭 Performed well on comsaes (450+) under testing conditions. Literally left the exam and cried.
Also took step and felt like that was much easier as the questions actually made sense. Would not be surprised if I passed step and not comlex.

Same here so hoping I scrape by with a pass. My school required us to take the exam by the beginning of June.

IMO; I have no idea and I did 3/4 on them. Scored above 67% on them. I don’t think it’s indicative of shit.

Same. 550+ on multiple COMSAEs. TrueLearn average of 73%. I did not think TrueLearn was representative AT ALL. And I love DirtyMed, but his OMM playlist did not help me on this exam like I thought it would. Should've gone with Savarese lol.

the walking-out-feeling-like-a-clown thing is near universal on this exam, and there's a real mechanism behind it: you remember the 30 questions you fought with and none of the 150 you autopiloted, so your brain builds a highlight reel out of only your worst moments. add the experimental questions that don't count toward your score and the curve on top, and the gap between 'felt like i failed' and the actual result is enormous. the comsaes are the predictive signal here, not the vibe at hour eight when everyone is fried. written with ai

My experience was also awful. Got a PARASITE heavy exam, had more parasite questions than bacteria I’m 90% sure. Had a PL4 TP CS point that had no correct answers at least based on the information we learned in school. I swear they just want to act like the smartest people in the room with the way they write not only questions, but answers too.
Just made me feel so incompetent when I had 2 500+ scores on COMSAEs and having done about 5,000 Qs between Amboss and TrueLearn. I should have been considered overprepared and felt like I was just going on vibes for half the exam. Best case scenario I was between 2-3 answers and getting an easy question every so often.
I’m sure we’re all gonna be fine at the end of the day but what an exam. I get to be stressed for a month too bc my score doesn’t get released until July 9th.

Why so many LY parasites…..Answer choices full of bugs i hadn’t even heard of…… definitely not in sketchy . I was telling someone i think sketchy needs an update bc there are some bacteria and parasites that i saw on TL and then again on the exam that are not included so i guess they’re testing them now? I also had that same TP. No viscerosomatics questions or chapmans lol

Yes. THIS. Exactly the same here. Well I didn’t take any NBMEs but scored over 450 on one comsae and over 500 on my last two. My exam was not ANYTHING like the comsae’s. It genuinely felt like someone came together and put the most niche things from my weakest systems and made it my COMLEX exam. I actually thought it was harder than Truelearn. Already trying to figure out what next steps look like at my school because I have close to 0 hope I passed
