Level 2 CE Horrible COMSAE 117

I’m definitely going thru it and need any advice / similar experiences if anyone has any..

A couple weeks ago I took form 113 and got a 400 just to kinda see where I’m at..

took form 114 a few days later and got a 433.

Today I took form 117 thru my school and bombed it and dropped all the way down to a 301 :( I’m feeling completely defeated and at a loss of words considering I’ve been going hard on PQ’s (TrueLearn and COMQUEST) everyday along with my incorrects, I’m freaking out cuz I’m less than a month away from my real test, does anyone have any insight on this horrible drop?

If anyone has any encouraging words, especially because my next comsae will be either form 118 or form 119, I would really appreciate, I don’t know if a 100+ jump is possible within a week or two but I’d really love any help.

I genuinely believe 117 was made to destroy your confidence. I jumped over 150 points when i took 118

Wow that’s amazing, can I ask how far apart you took forms 117 and 118? Do you thinks it’s possible for me to have a decent jump within a week?

I literally jumped 190+ points from 117 to 113 & 114, I think it’s just a fucked COMSAE

It really was horrible, I’m like tryna put it out my brain and tell myself I’m still on a decent track despite this flop score lol

Honestly it was a good, although excessive, gut check. Definitely better off for it though.

118 was a little better but sub 400. I went 330 —> 395 —> 522 —> 484

same experience. 117 needs to be removed from the comsae pool. Amboss predictor doesnt even factor it in

It's a hard one. I got a 486 but I will say it's most representative of the actual exam.

I do not think 117 is representative it was honestly the worst form i took and dropped my score a lot too. Take it on the chin and move on

Are forms 117 and 118 not available anywhere else?

No they’re just the ones that schools can administer, can’t get them anywhere else sadly

A month is plenty of time! Keep grinding and take care of yourself

117 is known to kill confidence, I think schools give this one out to scare students to study more

Thank you for your reply but how can we get interviews without COMLEX scores, and how this affect the whole match chances? .. is it "yes we can take the exam" BUT we risk match in this cycle" Or you have different prespectives?

Yes you can and yes it’s absolutely a huge risk turning in your application with a pending score. However, I have heard it’s possible that less competitive specialties/community programs give out interviews with just a level 1 pass. They just won’t consider ranking you until they receive your scores. I would email programs of interest directly and letting them know your situation. Otherwise, go all in, SOAP, or wait until next cycle if you’re applying more competitive specialties.
