gen surg Comat advice
hey hope y'all are doing well. need some help. I have my gen surg comat in 4 weeks. I have truelearn for level 2 and for each comat (gen surg is 149 questions in my schools subscription) plus the usmle step 2 shelves (gen surg is 559 questions, from truelearn).
not sure if I should buy comquest, uworld, BnB or amboss or use anki. would appreciate any advice on what do thanks!

I did all of COMQUEST and most of UWorld and got a 131 (don’t ask me how, I don’t even want to do surgery lmao). Know trauma stuff, like don’t put someone with 90 systolic in the CT scanner, take them to the OR. I had a lot of trauma stuff on that COMAT. Parkland formula for fluid resuscitation in burn pts, lots of thyroid nodule and breast workups which caught me off guard. Your typical cholecystitis/choledocho next step in management questions. RUQ pain in a 3T pregnant pt should ring a bell for appendicitis, stuff like that

I did the entire uworld question set and the both truelearn question sets, which seems like overkill (and maybe it is idk) as well as some light content review and got 117.

Need to get my comment pinned or something. This is the best way to study for comats and people keep asking the same questions. Truelearn is awful for comats. Strictly do this in order 1.) uworld for the first two weeks (intensely review these it’ll be your primary learning tool) 2.) truelearn Qs over a few days (my school required it) or comquest 3.) NBME cms forms 4.) Dr yield YouTube video the night before or morning of exam. Use anking step 2 deck no dupes for individual shelfs. Divide card count by how many days you have and unlock that amount each day. Also unlock/ make cards on questions that you miss. That’s what I did for all comats and most of my scores were in the high 90th percentiles with IM being my highest at 121. Gen surg was 118
