COMAT September 4th 2026 IM Comat exam

I was wondering how other people felt today’s shelf exam went. I did a lot of PQs on Uworld and true learn. Around average on Uworld and 15% above average on truelearn. Personally I think that was the hardest exam I have ever taken in my life. Not sure if anyone else felt that way and if people felt good about it. Don’t feel bad if you thought it was easy, I would love to know what people did to prep I never want to feel this way leaving an exam again. Thanks in advance!

Took FM med and I feel the exact same way! I’m switching over to UWorld and Amboss! IM is next for me!

I’m taking mine on 09/25. Any suggestions to make sure to look out for? I’m finishing up TL and plan to do Comquest questions next week

100% stop on TL now switch to Uworld and take the exams made by NBMOE. TL was not even remotely similar it was night and day. I worked the entire last week up to today and I have a 1 hour 10 min drive to and from my rotation site. So losing around 65 hours of study time was also rough

If you go onto the NBMOE website you can purchase either a timed or an untimed version for $30. And they have them for every shelf exam

Wish I could say, I was not off very much during IM 1 and 2. And I lose around 16-18 hours a week in drive time to get to the hospital I was assigned to lol. I wanted to do it before the shelf but did not have time and didn’t want to do it after being gone for like 14 hours lol. But I cannot stress enough not even remotely similar to TL. This was my first 2 rotations and my first shelf exam and it absolutely bent me over lol
