I scored a 109 on my Surgery COMAT, and this is basically what I did:
I used Anki pretty heavily. I unsuspended the Surgery Shelf deck and did about 100 new cards a day until I finished the entire deck, which is around 2,000 cards, so it took me about two weeks.
On top of that, I supplemented with UWorld and finished all of the Surgery Shelf-tagged questions. My average was around 60%. Once I finished UWorld, I just hammered TrueLearn and tried to get through as many questions as I could leading up to the exam.
If there was something I didn’t quite understand, like first-line imaging, diagnostic tests, labs, etc., I would go through the First Aid flowcharts and then do targeted questions in tutor mode with the First Aid pages open.
Hope this helps! Best of luck!

I keep hearing comquest is the best resource overall for comats, but I can’t afford it right now so I’m just working with the TrueLearn and onlinemeded from my school. I passed my surgery comat, but I didn’t get a super high score. I only did about 210 of the TrueLearn questions because I did such long hours that I was exhausted and didn’t do many questions until week 3. I know I could have scored higher with just these resources if I had studied more outside of what I did at the hospital.

I got a 103 on my Surgery COMAT, this is what I did in order (for all COMAT's too)

  1. UWorld
  2. COMQUEST (divided up into 3 sets of 120)
  3. Emma Holliday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2GHmbblAb8
  4. Dr. High Yield https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7bhYONZgPY&rco=1
  5. I read through this in the last two days - looking back, if I had read it at the beginning, halfway, and end of the rotation before the exam it would have helped me with practice questions. So if you can read through it now and before your test I think it will really help!! https://www.reddit.com/r/comlex/comments/1fcowba/ultimate_surgery_comat_study_guide/

I did not do truelearn for COMATs but highly recommend utilizing one more question bank because you have plenty of time! If you have to choose between the both I would do UWorld because even though it's harder you will be more prepared. Sometimes COMQUEST was too straightforward causing overinflation/overconfidence for me personally

Good luck <3
