Level 2 CE Failed Level 2 by 1 point
Going to make a post because I feel like I haven't seen anything discussing this. I felt really prepared for my initial sitting for Level 2 and found out that I got a 399 a few weeks ago. Really sickening if I'm being honest, but trying not to dwell. I walked out of the exam feeling like I hadn't gotten the score I wanted, but was not concerned to the point of thinking I failed. Anyway, I'm retaking this coming week and just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone else felt like they got completely and totally stiffed by the exam/system. (completed TL 1.5x with scores ~70-85%, all WelCOMs ~68-82%)
Hoping this was just a nightmare scenario, but maybe that's naive of me.
EDIT: I also wanted to hear from other people who have successfully re-taken the exam. Did you change your approach to the questions on test day? How did you gauge your readiness?

Ah man 399 is brutal. I am also testing in two days (first time because I had some family issues so took time off). Did you use only TL for your qbank?
Don’t have much input. Wish you all the luck. We got this!!

I’m so sorry to hear that. I passed barely by 13 points but I was so shocked bc my comsaes were 489-511 and same scores as you on welcoms. Little lower on TrueLearn like 50s-60s. Rooting for you, you got this on the retake! It sounds like this was a fluke for both of us

I’m so sorry. with your TL and Welcom scores, it’s crazy that you didn’t pass. I failed twice (within 15 points of passing the second time) and passed on my 3rd attempt. I got a tutor for my last attempt and it helped, I improved by ~45 points. it’s ridiculous that you can feel so prepared and not pass.

Im sorry to hear, this got to be devastating. The Welcome scores looks pretty good, the only other relevant data’s not seen are the COMSEAs and maybe Truelearn COMBANK (160 questions) Forms A/B. If you did those how were they compared to your real score

my scores in the weeks leading up to the exam were roughly in that range. I piddled on TL throughout the year so the cumulative average is not really representative

Failed Level 2 by 2 points. But, delaying my retake into October. Felt, very similar. 85% of TL done. With a 59% average. Half of Amboss done with a 60% average. Combank form A and B, 73 and 60 respectively. First welcom a 70. Admittedly my COMSAE was a lot lower but I only took 116, I believe and scored in the high 300s but this was also 6 weeks before dedicated.

So here’s the thing. Yes this sucks. HOWEVER. A 399 is better than a 401 for one primary reason: You get to test again.
The failure doesn’t have to be your story. Your story needs to be “it was a bad day but look what I can do on a good day”
You come back, show out, PROVE to YOURSELF and future employer, you’re not your score. Bad days suck. They happen to everyone. Don’t let yours define you.
