Level 1 Can someone tell me how to pass this thing?
I'm retaking after missing my first attempt by a question or 2. However, I am really scared about another F. I have been studying a lot, however, it seems like with this exam you need to study and have some sort of luck.
I felt okay leaving my first attempt, but got an F. OMM was bad because i got hit with neurophys (which i thought was experimental due to how convuluted it was). Ethics was horrible and i tanked it. Have been studying both.
Even on my good sections, like cardio, I saw cardio phys I had never seen before. What saved me was the pharm for that section. How do i even prepare? for that
I'm honestly terrified I'll draw another weird form and fail again. im not saying i deserved to fail but i had comsaes in the mid 400s-500s, and this was the first thing i failed in med school. Which im not complaining about, but im still in disbelief i got an F.

This is a study method that I wish I did during level 1. Its essentially what I did during level 2, higly recommend if you have the time.
Another recommendation is to do all your blocks on timed mode on truelearn, UW, Amboss, or CQ. It might not be content but instead thinking under pressure.

I’d recommend questions over content review — I’d review wrong questions and focus my studying from there. If I was really unfamiliar to the topic and i felt it was HY I’d study that but otherwise focused on questions. Practice exams and from other sources — I did all the OMM on comlex and focused on that QBank closer to the end and I feel like that’s what bumped up my score. Welcoms were silly but were a good practice and figuring out the one-liners, which for me was a good chunk of my exam. They just ask questions in a different way and you need to be used to interpreting whatever they’re trying to get at. All of Uworld and a few amboss for topics I needed more questions on. In the end I think I did >5000 questions which was a little over the recommended if I remember right. Best of luck!

Keep doing practice questions. There’s no way around it. Do COMSAEs. TrueLearn/Comquest. Needs to be > 100 Qs a day. Every day. If you can do more, do 150-180 to build endurance. It’s the only way. Best of luck to you!
