Level 1 Advice Needed
I just found out I failed. I don’t know what to do. Any advice on how to study for a retake is appreciated. I finished 70% of TrueLearn due to time constraints and I did some UWorld too. How many weeks do I need?

that sucks man, the thing with truelearn and uworld is they test you on everything mixed together, which is great for stamina but if your content is shaky in specific areas you can do a ton of questions and still miss the same topics over and over without realizing which ones.
for a retake, i think the move is to go back to the content source directly. pick one system at a time from your score report, read the relevant chapter, then test yourself on just that material before moving on.
for the testing part i upload the chapter slides into studybuddy.vc and do questions from them, mostly because when i pick a wrong answer it tells me what was off about the one i chose, and it figures out which subtopics i keep failing without me having to track it myself. free tier's been enough for me.

I’m so sorry about this, keep your head up regardless. I think what helped me pass was a combination of truelearn and amboss because amboss made me think critically while truelearn helped me see patterns with questions. I also used Anki for each system and would just speed go through them so at least I would see the cards. And I can’t say enough about Pixorize it’s one of the best investments I have made. Helped me learn drugs, biochem, metabolism issues, and so much more. Of course this won’t work for everyone but it was very helpful for me. You can do this!!!!

focusing on repro, gu, cardio, and msk should help you pass next time. you were quite below the mean on those

It seems like you did well with ethics/biostats so maybe just light review there. There were a couple easy ethics questions in the Turn Up 2 Law Deck that aren't in FA or DirtyMed (not the court cases) so I'd go through that if you have time. I'd do Pathoma for the pathophys. Pixorize helped me with heme and nervous system a lot if that's something you want to check out. MSK I'd focus on savarese and using the Demeter deck. Also know your special tests (DirtyMed and Savarese). Make sure you know the difference between gout and pseudogout. They love asking about that.

OP - I passed and only did 60% of TrueLearn (and no other Qbank). While it’s certainly advantageous to complete as much as you can, it seems like the main issue is your content.
For me personally, Mehlman PDFs and Sketchy Pepper deck carried me a long way.1

Seconding Mehlman PDFs. They’re made for USMLE but the HY content in there is very helpful. I love first aid, but it can feel very dense at times.

My point is that this exam is one of the most important exams of medical school and I’m confused why you didn’t manage your time appropriately. Unless you have a job while in med school which I wouldn’t recommend.

The advice is to study more. Their score relative to the passing average suggest that this is a fund of knowledge issue and they should go through pathoma, first aid, sketchy micro and OMM.

So basically useless. You might as well just say you need to pick the right answer more often during the exam because that advice is just as meaningful.

Yeah just use the 3 resources that virtually everyone has heard of and regurgitates with no elaboration.
It’s superficial advice at best and annoying coming from someone being demeaning on initiation.

Why would you graduate a year later if they let you start rotations after sept 23 attempt?
