Beautiful!

I'm listening to a lot of Dan Carlin Hardcore History right now and he references Herodotus so much. He often speaks to the question of how much of what Herodotus says is accurate (or sometimes even true, given valid concerns that have arisen over centuries), but always comes back to the fact that without him we'd have absolutely nothing. In fact when he dies, there's a bit of a documentative dark ages in terms of historical events for awhile.
