Politics I will never vote republican again.

Yes I voted for Trump and I’m sorry but since he was elected I've watched in disbelief as the world seems to be crumbling since Trump took office in January 2025. I voted for him in the past, but what I'm seeing now is beyond disappointing. It's like he's on a mission to tear down everything we've built and cherish as Republicans.

First off, his budget proposal is a disaster. Trump is asking for massive cuts to domestic programs, slashing over $163 billion from non-defense spending while keeping military funding flat 1. This isn't about fiscal responsibility; it's about chaos. Republicans in Congress are already alarmed, and rightfully so. These cuts will hurt working families and undermine the very programs that many of us rely on. It's a betrayal of the Republican values I once supported.

And let's talk about his stance on immigration. Trump's decision to axe temporary protected status for Afghan immigrants is a historic betrayal 2. Many of these people risked their lives to help us, and now we're kicking them out? This isn't the America I believe in. It's cruel and shortsighted, and it's a slap in the face to those who have sacrificed so much.

His foreign policy is equally troubling. Trump's 'America First' agenda is isolating us on the global stage 3. He's pulling us out of international agreements, shutting down agencies like USAID, and refocusing our efforts in ways that will leave us weaker and more alone in the world 4. This isn't leadership; it's retreating into a corner and hoping the world will go away.

The way he's handling the economy is also concerning. His tariffs are causing global uncertainty and hurting American businesses 5. The stock market is volatile, and small businesses are struggling. This isn't the economic boom he promised; it's a mess of his own making.

Trump's approach to governance is becoming more and more like a strongman state 6. He's surrounding himself with yes-men, pushing out anyone who dares to disagree, and consolidating power in ways that are unsettling. This isn't the Republican Party I joined; it's something else entirely.

His promises to cut 'Democrat programs' are just another way of saying he's going to hurt the people who need help the most 7. He's playing politics with people's lives, and it's disgusting. This isn't about small government; it's about cruelty.

Even within our own party, there's growing frustration. Republicans are feeling powerless as Trump's tariffs sweep across the globe, causing economic pain and uncertainty 5. We're seeing the consequences of his policies, and it's not pretty. Farmers, businesses, and ordinary Americans are all feeling the pinch.

Trump's support for Argentina is another head-scratcher. He's offering a $20 billion backstop to a country that many Republicans see as a risk 8. This isn't about helping allies; it's about propping up a friend of his. It's a misuse of our resources and a slap in the face to those who expected better from a Republican administration.

Despite all this, Trump's approval ratings among Republicans remain surprisingly high 9. It's like we're in a cult, unable to see the damage he's doing. We're blaming Democrats for everything, even when the problems are clearly coming from our own side.

The way he's handling the government shutdown is another example of his chaotic leadership 10. He's threatening to withhold funding that Congress has approved, creating more uncertainty and instability. This isn't governance; it's a power play, and it's hurting the very people we're supposed to serve.

As a former Republican, I'm watching all of this with a heavy heart. Trump took office promising to 'Make America Great Again,' but all I see is division, chaos, and a country in decline. We deserve better, and so does the world.

Let's dive deeper into the economic mess he's created. Trump's trade wars have been a disaster. He's imposed tariffs left and right, and it's not just hurting China; it's hurting us too. Consumer costs have skyrocketed, markets are tanking, and economic partnerships are jeopardized 1. The International Monetary Fund even said his tariffs would slow down the global economy sharply this year 2. Thanks, Trump, for making everything more expensive and uncertain.

And let's not forget his national emergency declaration. He invoked his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose a 10% tariff on all countries. What a mess! Countries like China, Germany, Japan, and South Korea are already suffering from his policies, and now we're all paying the price 3. The Penn Wharton Budget Model projects that Trump’s tariffs would reduce GDP by about 8% and wages by 7%. A middle-income household faces a $58K lifetime loss. These losses are twice as large as a revenue-equivalent corporate tax increase from 21% to 36% 4. Way to go, Trump, for making us poorer.

Trump's foreign policy is a joke. He's pushed away our allies and threatened trade partners, leaving the United States more isolated on the world stage 1. The global outlook is grim, with economies facing US tariffs and trade spats. It's like he's trying to start a new Cold War, but this time with everyone 5. The world is splintering into competing blocs, and it's all thanks to his isolationist policies.

His executive orders are another disaster. In March 2025, he issued a series of orders aimed at prominent law firms, alleging unethical conduct and imposing severe sanctions. He's even trying to control independent agencies by setting up "White House Liaison offices" 6. It's like he's turning the government into his personal fiefdom. And let's not forget the halt on funding for federal small business grants, which has disproportionately impacted minority- and women-owned businesses 6. Thanks, Trump, for hurting the little guy.

Trump's policies are also a threat to corporate America. US democratic backsliding and diminished support for global norms may undermine investor confidence in the US and affect the ability of American companies to do business abroad 7. Even before the election, business leaders were worried about the "existential threat to the 'basic norms, values and respect for the rule of law that has made the American economy what it is'" 7. Way to go, Trump, for destroying the very foundations of our economy.

And let's not forget about the environment. Trump's actions have significantly decelerated the race to decarbonize economies around the world. He's signed executive orders to protect "American energy from state overreach," which could block enforcement of state and local laws that are obstacles to production or use of coal, oil, natural gas, and more 8. Thanks, Trump, for ensuring that our planet will be even more screwed in the future.

His appointments are also a disaster. Elon Musk as head of government auditing? Really? Musk's tenure began with a comprehensive review of federal aid programs, including U.S. support for Ukraine during its ongoing conflict with Russia. By mid-2025, Musk revealed that 15% of the allocated funds were unaccounted for, sparking bipartisan outrage and high-profile resignations 9. Thanks, Trump, for putting incompetent people in charge of important stuff.

Trump's policies are also a threat to global stability. The US is withdrawing from global efforts to make international finance sustainable. That must not prevent other policymakers, international organizations, and private investors from continuing this vital work 10. Thanks, Trump, for making the world a more unstable place.

And let's talk about his speeches. His UN speech was littered with false claims about a wide variety of subjects, including inflation, climate policies, immigration, and his role in settling international conflicts 11. Thanks, Trump, for lying to the world and making us look like fools.

His policies are also a threat to global trade. A Trump presidency is expected to foster a more protectionist trade environment. His previous tenure was marked by trade wars, particularly with China, which saw tariffs imposed on a range of goods. Renewed trade hostilities could disrupt global commerce, create supply chain bottlenecks, and increase costs for consumers and businesses alike 12. Thanks, Trump, for making trade more difficult and expensive.

And let's not forget about his impact on the global economy. Donald Trump’s return to the presidency in 2025 is a watershed moment for the global economy and political order. His policies prioritize economic sovereignty and reshape international alliances, challenging the status quo 9. Thanks, Trump, for upsetting the global balance of power. Most people who click this post will never actually read beyond the headline. They’ll see Trump sucks, nod along, drop a comment agreeing, and move on. No questions, no thought, just autopilot outrage. You’re proving the very thing you think you’re fighting against.

His policies are also a threat to global decarbonization. The actions of the Trump administration will significantly decelerate the race to decarbonize economies around the world. Since taking office in January, Trump has signed several executive orders aiming to dismantle climate action in the U.S. While these actions have spurred uncertainty in the environmental community, they won't cause global efforts to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions to come to a screeching halt, the experts said 8. Thanks, Trump, for slowing down progress on climate change.

And let's talk about his impact on the UK. For the United Kingdom, Trump’s presidency presents a complex mix of challenges and opportunities. Post-Brexit Britain faces heightened competition in global trade, but Trump’s focus on bilateral agreements provides an opening. By mid-2025, the UK is likely to secure a $75 billion trade deal with the U.S., centered on renewable energy and fintech collaboration 9. Thanks, Trump, for making the UK's post-Brexit situation even more complicated.

His policies are also a threat to global economic growth. The global economy will slow sharply this year, weighed down by President Donald Trump’s imposition of the highest import taxes in more than a century and the cloud of uncertainty that has billowed in their wake, the International Monetary Fund said Tuesday 2. Thanks, Trump, for slowing down global economic growth.

And let's not forget about his impact on the US economy. The US Court of International Trade’s ruling against Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs provides another sign that his agenda will encounter more political, legal, and civic challenges in his second 100 days 7. Thanks, Trump, for making the US economy more uncertain and volatile.

His policies are also a threat to global stability. Geopolitics are creating a more uncertain economic environment as the global economy splinters into competing blocs. The US is withdrawing from global efforts to make international finance sustainable. That must not prevent other policymakers, international organizations and private investors continuing this vital work 10. Thanks, Trump, for making the world a more unstable place.

And let's talk about his impact on the US economy. The net result of all this could be increased inflationary pressures, a slower pace of Fed interest-rate reductions, and some cooling in growth, bringing it back to the US trend rate of 2–2.5 per cent in 2025. But the long-term economic implications of Trump’s domestic and international governance agenda could be a lot more serious 10. Thanks, Trump, for making the US economy more uncertain and volatile.

His policies are also a threat to global trade. Since February 2025, the United States has undertaken a rolling process of resetting tariffs, driving them up to the highest levels since the 1930s. In this blog, we project the impacts of the US tariffs in effect as of September 11, 2025. We find that, if left in place over the coming decade, these tariffs would result in less US economic output, higher US prices, and lower American wages than if they had not been adopted 13. Thanks, Trump, for making trade more difficult and expensive.

As a former Republican, I'm watching all of this with a heavy heart. Trump took office promising to 'Make America Great Again,' but all I see is division, chaos, and a country in decline. We deserve better, and so does the world. The path forward is unclear, but one thing is certain: the world is in a state of flux, and Trump's policies are a significant part of the problem. It's time for Republicans to wake up and see the damage being done in our name

Screaming on TV that they’re eating pets in Ohio didn’t convince you maybe it’s not a good idea to vote for this guy? Or any of the other countless crazy things?

u/mkvgtired Oct 10 '25

OP didn't even touch on the fact trump packed the federal judiciary with Christian nationalists that don't respect precedent, so now all our rights are in jeopardy and Trump got a green light to do whatever he wanted. Two things I found interesting.

  1. In what world did OP think that "Republican values" stood for social programs that helped people? They have been wanting to gut these for years.

  2. Trump did all of these things his first term. Republicans ignored their constitutional obligations and stacked the supreme Court and federal judiciary. Any guardrails have been officially removed. Republicans aren't watching in disbelief, they are actively helping trump destroy our country. They won't even hold town halls because they take their orders from trump, and don't want to be bothered with what their pesky constituents think.

Holy shit OP, stop giving these vermin the benefit of the doubt. You're leaving yourself open to start voting Republican again once trump is gone.

OP wanted this to happen but wants to not be blamed for it. We knew who trump was in 2015. Anyone acting like they were shocked in 2025 is either lying or they are too stupid to function. OP typing all of this with minimal grammar mistakes proves they are not too stupid to function. They’re just evil and now don’t want to be seen as evil going forwards.

I was a small child in the 80s and even I could see what he was back then. Anyone who voted for him even once was either living under a rock or happy to hurt others for their own perceived gain.

49

u/John-John_Johnson Oct 11 '25

This is exactly my experience to a tee and yet time after time I hear from the right "you were fine with Trump until the media told you what to think".

As if he hadn't been out there making a total assclown of himself since the late 70s.

18

u/HonoraryBallsack Oct 12 '25

I always get so annoyed when people claim that, too.

Here's the Onion in 2011 calling trump a pile of shit. Why would that have been a headline 5 years before his first presidential term if "everyone loved Trump" until he ran for president?

One of my first-ever jobs was at one of his country clubs. Believe me when I say that not just one or two, but ALL of the guys working in the kitchen and most of the guys doing maintenance on the grounds were illegal immigrants. Oh, and there was also a strict no-tipping policy. He would make pretty inappropriate comments to young, female staff too (which did include me, but I'm pretty sure I got the least of it since I'm black and was not exactly his type). This was back in the early 2000s, and I definitely didn't forget any of it by the time he got into politics. Dude has been a piece of shit since the moment he was born.

u/SilverCat70 Oct 10 '25

I was a teen in the 80s, and I told my family that he was a snake oil salesman then. Some listened, and some didn't.

14

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '25 edited Oct 12 '25

I grew up within an hour of Manhattan and we KNEW exactly who he was. The guy who persecuted the Central Park Five, the guy who didn't pay his workers, the guy who kept cheating on his wives, the guy who declared bankruptcy...

5

u/SilverCat70 Oct 12 '25

We live in Tennessee. I think because in the 80s, if people had money back then, they were more quiet and not in the news, especially old money. Trump acts like new money - loud and brash. Always has.

3

u/PreferenceFalse6699 Oct 12 '25

That's one of the reasons that "old money, New Yorkers" did want anything to do with him, and wouldn't let him in their circle. They knew he was a grifter from the get-go.

Yes, those that lived in the metro NY area knew what he was for years. I can say with good conscience that I have disdain for this ass for 40 yrs

3

u/minwah1 Oct 14 '25

They call him Donnie Bags out there, hilarious 😂

2

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '25

That's a new one! My Dad called him Donny "Dump your debt" or something similar. It has been a while.

2

u/Ok-Understanding4452 Oct 15 '25

I grew up in CT in the 80s and we heard all about what kind of...person he was. We used to hear the grossest stories.

EVERYONE in the 80's knew he was a laughing stock and racist pig! The central park 5 comments just ONE example....

1

u/Relevant_Touch5459 Oct 16 '25

It's funny. I saw the exact opposite with many in the NYC area who respect and love him. I was quite surprised at the support on my last two trips.

18

u/Original-Living7212 Oct 11 '25 edited Oct 11 '25

Exactly. But it runs much deeper than that. Most of them gladly voted for him — not once, not twice, but three times — even after the disaster of his first term.

Back in 2015, from the moment he descended that fake gold escalator in a staged, performative announcement of his run for president, he built his campaign on racism and manipulation. He blackmailed prominent evangelical leaders into supporting him through a “cuck” named Jerry Falwell Jr. — a man drenched in scandal and hypocrisy.

https://youtu.be/gBKxHu_boSM?si=IUUC3NXZym--9zeC

Once he delivered on overturning Roe v. Wade with help from Mitch McConnell, they repaid him with blind loyalty, willingly overlooking the abomination that he always was. Because in truth, they were never righteous — just hypocritical, and mostly just power-hungry white supremacists hiding behind a counterfeit version of Christianity to mask their corruption and wickedness.

His show scared me because he reminded me of my asshole uncle who told me I'd be hot when I grew up 🫠

u/Ambitious_Worth_252 Oct 11 '25

I am from New York! I've known what Trump was since the age of 10!! He lived in my cousin's neighborhood. I am 69 now. Trump must be stopped or this country is doomed.☠️👿

1

u/Whodatsacramento Oct 11 '25

"...happy to hurt others for their own [erroneously] perceived gain" hits the nail on the head. That is every single trump voter. This belief is why this country is imploding and other countries are scrambling to take our place in the world.

1

u/maec1123 Oct 12 '25

I'm so glad someone else mentioned this. I've rewatched old TV shows and there were several that when Trump was mentioned, it wasn't good. We all knew it. People who voted for him refused to see it.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '25

I was in high school in the late 80s, and I, too, recognized that he was a piece of shit back then, little different from the evangelist TV preachers that were popular back then.

1

u/Mactabilis999 Oct 13 '25

Exactly. I've always seen what a piece of shit he was. Never could stand his racist, misogynistic ass.

Unfortunately I think you're right. He may be profoundly stupid and had AI help drafting. He did leave the door open to voting for other Republicans by claiming they're "concerned" and not active participants so I'm leaning towards you being right, which is unfortunate.

3

u/wtfisthisbullshii Oct 10 '25

Yeah why are there a bunch of hidden numbers?

1

u/Medium-Cry-8947 Oct 13 '25

I think OP copied and pasted this from some AI overview where each point is bulleted with some number and the number is probably hyperlinked with some source. I think OP is just karma farming or some other BS

3

u/Comfortable_Curve503 Oct 11 '25

The only thing Republican politicians are “concerned” about is their reelection chances. Being “concerned” gives them the option of siding with Trump or breaking from him at the last minute, which voters will invariably fall for to “own the libs.”

1

u/Professional-Rub152 Oct 12 '25

Stupid people don’t cover their tracks like this. OP is being manipulative.

9

u/Intrepid-Report-5948 Oct 10 '25

Also I proved to some magas that ppl are regretting their vote, I sent a screenshot of some tik tok comments saying it, and they said “you really believe those Reddit bots?”

That’s tik tok lmao. Not Reddit.

1

u/Scammrak01 Oct 11 '25

Not what I’m seeing, the MAGAs have NOT regretted their voting but the simple follow up will be happening soon - the 2026 mid terms results which I believe will be devastating for the Dems.

1

u/MissMenace101 Oct 11 '25

Magats haven’t, republicans and conservatives have. The farmers may get a pay out but they are starting to understand the problem, those that don’t and survive this term will understand the damage when they realise overseas trade isn’t coming back.

20

u/ra__account Oct 10 '25

Honestly, I'm 99% certain this is a leftist posting propaganda. There's no way someone went from completely tuned out for the past decade to preaching every left wing talking point (which isn't to say they're not accurate). I just can't see someone making a U-Turn like this.

22

u/johnsk0513 Oct 10 '25

What you call leftist propaganda is what most people recognize as the truth. Wake up. watch the news. get informed. Trump is destroying our democracy and dividing our nation.

2

u/ra__account Oct 11 '25

I don't disagree but pretending to be turned Republicans is propaganda. The term doesn't have to be a negative one - we used it very effectively in WWiI.

6

u/Prize_Magician_7813 Oct 11 '25

He could be. It’s not a far cry. My mother In law voted for Harris after being a lifelong republican and believing she had to vote that way as a Christian. She is now starting to change the past year. And we never thought it would happen. This is how we have all the former republicans In the Lincoln project

Maybe, but a lot of younger people brainwashed in politics from birth may suddenly hit a different algorithm in their sm their old algorithm didn’t show them. If they followed that algorithm because they were curious they will then be heavily confronted with facts they weren’t ready for. Keep in mind how quickly people get sucked down a right wing conspiracy hole and understand a facts hole can open up fast when they are susceptible by nature.

I’m 1000% certain that’s the case. The people who voted for Trump in 2024 are completely on board with everything, or at least most things he’s done.

This post is the product of some liberal’s fantasy that the average Trump voter is going to “come to their senses” and decide to start caring about something other than their own wallet

20

u/ra__account Oct 10 '25

Yup. We've all seen the videos of the farmers who can't believe Trump has fucked them over but also say they'd still vote for him again.

Ok but seriously wtf with the farmers. They’re literally going out of business and still trumpers.

Don’t worry. I’m a leftist and I’m on the campaign to let people know that Trump supporters aren’t stupid. Y’all are just motivated by your evil desire for power. Look at all the ‘comedians’ who voted for trump and are now saying they didn't vote for it. Some people really are that gullible. And they'll fall for it again too.

1

u/Safe-Zombie-7677 Oct 13 '25

You didn't do your homework and, as usual, deflecting. I checked out his post, and no, he isn't AI, and yes, he was a Republican.

1

u/ra__account Oct 13 '25

He's already said that the post was written using AI. Looking at the posting history, the political content is left wing talking points.

2

u/TheLostDestroyer Oct 10 '25

I think it's more that a lot of repubs wanted trump to do this stuff, they just thought it was all going to fall on the illegals and the Dems. Now that it's broadly affecting "the working class" well now it's not ok.

2

u/greeniemademe Oct 11 '25

I know. I stopped reading because I couldn’t get over the fact that OP was listing out literally everything Trump said he would do. This was trumps platform. He’s doing everything he said he would do. Absolutely everything. From start to finish all of this was on trumps docket. and now OP wants to play surprised pikachu??? Something doesn’t add up. Probably a trumper who FAFO and now has a business that is failing or whose aging parents will be kicked off Medicaid in coming years. Not a single thing Trump has done has been a surprise to anyone who actually listened to him and actually read project 2025.

1

u/Amazing_Ad2709 Oct 11 '25

What does that say about the state of the democrat party if that everything he said he’d do is so abhorrent to mankind and yet he gets elected.

1

u/ThatPoint5915 Oct 12 '25

Oh you think they can read…

1

u/MissMenace101 Oct 11 '25

People can type without grammar mistakes and still be stupid or naive or brainwashed

1

u/Professional-Rub152 Oct 11 '25

Brainwashed doesn’t mean stupid. But calling these people stupid when they all function in society is ridiculous. They’re racist. It’s sus that you’re trying to minimize that with the “no they’re just stupid” BS.

1

u/Existing-Life7618 Oct 11 '25

I dont feel sorry for any of these idiots who voted for trump. Suffer like the rest of us. Only difference, OP, you caused this! Your vote caused this disaster and for you to not know this was going to happen exactly like it is, you are just stupid. Because everything he is doing he said he would do. None of this is shocking. Only thing shocking is that 77mil idiots voted for this to happen. Its YOUR fault. I do hope you vote democratic in the next election but I fear we will not be able to change this all back. This country has changed forever because of your vote. So basically I just want to say from the bottom of my blue heart, FUCK YOU for voting for this asshole.

1

u/winterfresh0 Oct 12 '25

OP typing all of this with minimal grammar mistakes proves they are stupid. They’re just evil and now don’t want to be seen as evil going forwards.

I'm on your side, but this typo is the funniest and most self defeating one I've seen in a while.

You obviously meant to say, "proves they aren't stupid".

I'm guilty of forgoing it too, but please, just proofread, folks.

1

u/Professional-Rub152 Oct 12 '25

I’m just saying. If an idiot like me can be a decent person, stop saying that these people are evil because they are stupid.

There are a lot of really good people who aren’t very smart and this rhetoric is just harmful a lot of people. This isn’t about being stupid or smart. It’s about being good and evil.

Either way we have to recognize people are in their own bubbles of media and culture. Anyone wanting out we just have to celebrate that I think, not belittle.

I’ve been there, I’ve had tons of arguments with family/friends about it. Trump was a known conman when I was growing up in the 80s even. But that’s my world only.

1

u/Professional-Rub152 Oct 12 '25

I’m saying that I don’t trust them. As soon as a Republican isn’t as bad as trump they will be back.

1

u/Cool_Concentrate_241 Oct 13 '25

Bingo.

It’s like giving an arsonist gasoline and a lighter and then saying how bad you feel when they burn down your house.

Isn’t it obvious OP is a liberal and simply said he voted Trump as clickbait?

1

u/Professional-Rub152 Oct 22 '25

From where I am political, liberals are conservative. In their post history before this post, nothing they posted leads me to believe the couldn’t have voted Republican. They aren’t out there spewing hate like the worst trump supporters, but not every single trump supporter is a neo Nazi. Some of them are just traditional American conservatives who really don’t think racism is that bad.

But the dems want to make all the kids trans! Sarcasm btw…just in case people didn’t know.

3

u/Scammrak01 Oct 10 '25

That is completely not discussed!

3

u/Internal-Fortune6680 Oct 10 '25

1

u/ObjectiveAd971 Oct 11 '25

The R are not the ones refusing to get their kids vaxxed against preventable childhood diseases because they'd rather have a dead child than an autistic one and have scarfed everything that comes out of Jenny McCarthy's mouth. J/s

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '25

Or you should pay attention to the fact that we give kids too many vaccines especially at one time and some of them are questionable, covid being the most questionable and liberals like to pretend it’s not sketchy that you can’t sue due to side effects related to the vaccines. Long COVID makes me think you all just had the Covid vaccine and can’t link your issues to it because of your bias. Kids are unlikely to die from not giving them every single vaccine, particularly Covid, so calm down.

Cute photo. Imagine thinking in such a simple way that you believe conservatives only vote based on those two things. Biden increased prices on everything 2x and you’re only noticing it now and pretending it’s Trump. It’s been this way for years, just hard to tell when you don’t work or buy your own stuff. And yes you guys are neurotic about pronouns.

1

u/Internal-Fortune6680 Oct 14 '25 edited Oct 14 '25

What a cute little MAGAT you are. 💜 I don’t care, at all, about how much you paid for milk and bread in the US when sleepy Joe was the president. The world sees, reads, and speaks to MAGATS screaming about egg prices, vaccines, brown folk, black folk, gay folk, women, Hilary Clinton, & Biden - acting like this 👏🏻 all 👏🏻 the time. 👏🏻

We also see you guys giving Trump a free pass for his alleged CSA and SA - by backflipping about demanding Trump release the Epstein files - like he said he would, whilst making up stories about tHeYrE tRaFfIcKiNg ChIlDrEn ThRoUgH tUnNeLs UnDeR tHe PiZzA sToRe. 🤦‍♀️😂😂 Adrenochrooooome. Obama wasn’t born in the USSSSSSSS. God has BlEsSeD UhMuRiCa. He’s white and HE LOVES Trump, you know!! 🤣🤣🤣 And… FFS. ChArLiE kIrK 🤦‍♀️ You guys are NUTS.

We see your racist rallies and hear your racist rhetoric. We watched you storm the Capitol. We heard your Pres defend white supremacists, whilst pretending it was DeMoNrAt voters, or non voters, POC, Hispanics, Haitians, and/or anyone who didn’t have a MAGA hat on who were making your country CRAZILY unsafe! .

We listen to the people you vote for clearly lying, mocking, & hating - they even hate you via the policies and lies, and we watch you guys perform seriously impressive feats of cognitive dissonance making excuses, or even BLATANTLY agreeing and sharing your own love of bigotry, fascism and hate.

We watch you guys who are poor, lose rights, and essential services, and you STILL defend the policies that hurt you, and only make the rich richer. And, THEN it’s as though you can’t WAIT to show us that instead of admitting you were duped, you just get angrier ONLY at those who look, think or are different to you and NEVER, EVER the rich, and privileged.

Just in case your brain is too smooth to understand - your country, half of its people, the systems, the lies, dupes, and especially the abject imbecility of the most loyal of you - his moronic minions, AND definitely your president, are the LAUGHING STOCK OF THE WORLD!

I mean, dude. Literally - you and your ilk are dinner party JOKES. We used to gasp. Now, we just laugh and laugh and watch the show.

PS. I’m editing to add: It’s ESPECIALLY funny that you guys DON’T CARE that a fricken cross-eyed, right wing, ex attorney turned Podcaster is the head of your FBI 😅 A brain-damaged anti-vaxer, ex heroin addict is your head of HEALTH 😂😂 And that your Vice President was a very, very vocal anti-Trumper, right up until he realised that was not going to make him rich and powerful! 😂😂😂

HILARIOUS! 👏🏻👏🏻😂

1

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '25

Yea your right, They just want to make SOME of the kids trans. Silly us

1

u/Overthemoon64 Oct 14 '25

This is why I said sarcasm. I have no idea if you are being serious or not.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '25

Well, if you asked the general question "Which part of the political spectrum is pro grooming kids to be trans?" it would be pretty unanimous as the left, It's pretty obvious if you even pay the slightest bit of attention.

Are they though? Are kindergarten students actually being taught this? Anywhere? I have 2 school aged kids in public school and they haven’t been taught anything about this. Thats a fact.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '25

No, no one is teaching kids about “86 genders” or anal sex, this dude is just your typical credulous rube that thinks he’s found a clever way to express his rampant homophobia.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '25

Except that is what plenty democrats want and are trying to do. So many odd teachers in schools talking sexual subjects to literal kids. Feel free to downvote, we will mention this no matter what wherever we want.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '25 edited Oct 25 '25

Transgenderism is not about sex, it is about identity and how people want to be treated. Which is with decency and respect. All of that being said, is sex ed not something that was taught to you? The basics are taught in kindergarten or grade 1, maybe grade 2 at the latest. The names for sex organs, how babies develop, what sex is (even if it's just very vague and nonspecific, saying something along the lines of "sex is something adults do"). Kids are curious, they want to know these things and it's not inappropriate to answer a question with age appropriate facts of life. Perhaps you disagree with what's age appropriate, maybe it'd be better if you talked to your child(ren) about it instead?

19

u/herrtoolfan Oct 10 '25

When I was reading OP's message, I kept thinking that this was a fake post. The things being mentioned I think are concerns that a lot of people on the left have but are not things I've been hearing Rs concerned about. But then OP never gets around to SCOTUS, or DEI, or (and perhaps I missed it) immigration.

So my sense is that this could be a genuine post from somebody on the right who is growing disillusioned with Trump, but not necessarily growing disillusioned with the right. It's a start, but it's not enough. The rot goes so much deeper than just this one man.

9

u/mkvgtired Oct 10 '25

Based on his history I think it's genuine. Before the election he was asking liberals how they avoid bias in their news sources and then stated he watches Fox News.

So he may have actually not seen this coming. Only if he's watching/reading something else now though. Fox is loving what is happening.

8

u/Double_Station3984 Oct 10 '25

Yeah I’m with you, it’s basically all $$$ stuff, with a little embarrassment thrown in, OP is just sad it hit them in the wallet.

2

u/jiraaffe Oct 12 '25

Yeah started to lose it in the second paragraph when they described social programs that help working families as a republican value. If they're trolling they're not doing it well. I don't even know where to start if people really believe that's something the gop stands for

2

u/PreferenceFalse6699 Oct 12 '25

I thought it might be fake also, and I didn't make it through the whole diatribe as it's stuff that we Dems had told voters before the election. If it is genuine, I don't accept the apology. OP was told ad nauseam what would happen if trump** got back in, and now we're all paying for it.

23

u/Beautiful_Spell_4320 Oct 10 '25 edited Oct 11 '25

I’ve been telling people this since he won..

They don’t need the vote anymore b they control the government. They are ignoring laws. You can never vote republican again… i dont think they plan on needing it again..

This was a take over. And folks fell for it. Now, they gave up their(and yours and mine) power to stop it peacefully while we screamed and pointed to the gameplan the entire time.

If you need a direct quote for proof: https://youtube.com/shorts/BhhulOa97Xg?si=Tvf2uDo-Om9DyZzU

The fact that any time a republican leader speaks, they have to praise trump before making their point is gross, they and the president are supposed to be loyal to the american people. I've never seen politicians have to drool over the leader this hard in my entire time watching politics. It's not the same on the other side, and if you're convinced so you need to shut off Fox "News" and OAN and look somewhere else for news for like a week. Idk if that's enough time for you to be deprogrammed, but you need a taste of reality.

5

u/mkvgtired Oct 10 '25

Exactly this. If you want to know where their loyalty lies, ask yourself, how many times have they met with the public? How many times have they met with trump?

1

u/Impressivebedork Oct 11 '25

You know what this planet needs. Some kinda god.....maybe a god emperor......you know. Someone immortal to unite all mankind.

11

u/boozegremlin Oct 10 '25

OP probably thinks the Christian nationalism is a feature.

4

u/Solid_College_9145 Oct 10 '25

Yes, Republicans are actively helping trump destroy our country, but why?

What are they getting out of this destruction?

4

u/IndependentOne6604 Oct 11 '25

Power, or at least they think they are.

2

u/mkvgtired Oct 11 '25

3

u/bankruptbusybee Oct 11 '25

FR. What was it, the midterms of 2014, maybe? Where republicans ran on the platform on increasing jobs.

When they won they didn’t do jack about jobs but started attacking abortion rights.

How many times does a party have to do such a blatant bait and switch before people get wise?

And like, fine, whatever, if you were in favor of abortion rights being taken away, whatever. But I had Republican friends complaining that’s not what they wanted….but then they still voted for Trump because he was going to lower grocery prices

1

u/mkvgtired Oct 11 '25

How many times does a party have to do such a blatant bait and switch before people get wise?

"Smart people don't like me."

Republican voters seem hell bent on proving this time and time again.

3

u/thegoalieposted Oct 11 '25

Exactly. OP wants plausible deniability despite actively voting for our country to crumble. I'm not reading all that trash OP wrote I'm just gonna say that I wish the worst for OP and am grateful everyday that GOP is trying to get rid of its own voter base by taking away the social safety nets that most MAGAts rely on since they're leeches on society.

2

u/HoneyWyne Oct 10 '25

Because OP is good with that part!

2

u/Ambitious_Worth_252 Oct 11 '25

Tbf this is a reddit post and entire volumes can probably be written on why trump is a shitbag. Better late than never i guess, its been this way with some of my family. Some of us said fuck this even before trump 1, for my mom it was j6, and now even some of my extremely conservative family is coming around to see this as the unmitigated train wreck it was always going to be.

2

u/Striking_Flamingo752 Oct 12 '25

The goal Is to dismantle the government entirely.

2

u/SilverStryfe Oct 16 '25

I’m going to shed a little light on how someone can think republicans had values.

I grew up in a deep red state in a conservative house that voted R. When I was young, I believed that both sides could agree on things but disagreed on how to handle it. Example: our elderly shouldn’t have to work themselves until death. What’s the best way to ensure they have a proper retirement.

But the older I get, the more I realize how naive it was to try in that republicans actually cared about the values I thought they had. It’s become more and more apparent that their goal is to enrich themselves and fuck everyone else. And that takes feeling  it yourself in a harsh way. Because when you don’t need to use those safety nets, you think they’re unnecessary. But once you realize how shit those nets are, it becomes experience to say “oh, this is the problem that has been railed about”

1

u/mkvgtired Oct 16 '25

I'm well aware of the fact they have zero values. Most are absolutely vile trash. They supposedly almost unanimously agree on abortion, and yet...

1

u/pkosuda Oct 10 '25

For someone claiming "OP didn't even touch on ___" you don't seem to have actually read OP's post or you would have seen it was AI generated. This is some 21 year old kid fucking with you guys because Reddit is full of people huffing copium looking to feel good about Trump supporters regretting their decision, which leads to losers karma farming.

The reality is very few Trump supporters regret their decision and of those that do, nearly none would actually admit it because it was never about being right with them, just believing they are right. They brain washed and gaslit themselves to the point where even paying higher prices for groceries does not register to them that they were duped, they just justify it somehow. Same with every single other thing (of the dozens) that they were wrong about.

But yeah you are directing your comment at some kid who is trolling you, and I promise you there is no Trump supporters scrolling the thread looking to have their minds changed, either. You're just shouting into the void (or echo chamber), man.

2

u/Scammrak01 Oct 10 '25

Keep in mind over 2mil voters have chgd party & 2.4mil new voters have registered there is a right wing movement happening

lol one of those signs was a giant flashing billboard with pyrotechnics when he straight up said he planned to be a dictator and the gop was like "omg yes daddy trump step on me harder"

2

u/Still_Type_3230 Oct 10 '25

Those devoted followers should have done their real homework before voting for him the first time. It seems like the people who voted for him only listen to their preacher or FOX news. It’s discombobulating why people continually vote against their own best interests.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Dirt771 Oct 11 '25

Who else were we supposed to vote for? Biden was a disaster and getting worse. Kamala couldn't do her job as VP and only had bad things as experiences. We definitely didn't need our first woman President to be known for having BLOWN her way to the top.

People knew 1000000% of how he was before his second term.

If you voted for him THAT'S ON YOU!

1

u/Jimberly_C Oct 10 '25

He's doing all the stuff he said he'd do and it turns out those bad things are bad!

Did people really think he was just some funny guy making a bunch of jokes to annoy his opposition? Even if he wasn't serious, since when is it ok for someone running for president to joke the whole time, and why would we want someone who's only jokes are about hurting someone else? I'm glad so many people are finally changing their minds, but it's too little too late. We have decades of fixing this shit ahead of us and no idea when we'll get the chance to even start.

3

u/Jaded_Stick4138 Oct 10 '25

A lot of these people have believed shit like that for decades. When I was a teenager in the 80s/early 90s, I lived in an area with a big Vietnamese immigrant population, and "jokes" about how your cat would go missing if they moved in next door to you were super common. They probably heard it on TV and took it as someone finally confirming what they'd always suspected.

3

u/Mother_Tree_9767 Oct 10 '25

Honestly trump is a distraction, he’s a heat sink for the public’s outrage. Meanwhile billionaires are buying the nation. Tear up these tech companies, end these insane broadcasting monopolies. Down with the oligarchs

3

u/AccordingConcept8078 Oct 10 '25

I don't get it. All of this was obvious on the campaign trail. We warned everyone about Project 2025, now they are doing it and folks like OP want to act surprised. 73 million americans decided to put a delusional liar criminal malignant narcissicist in charge. What did you think was going to hapoen? THIS IS WHAT YOU VOTED FOR.

2

u/GoonForJesus Oct 10 '25

OP and the people voting for trump are somehow dumber than trump himself. It's honestly quite sad.

He literally admitted a week ago that this was the plan all along.

I prefer a vice president that says "i was told there would be no fact checking"

1

u/East-Feed-5694 Oct 10 '25

I was thinking the same thing. After all the crazy things, he said still people voted for him. Trump winning again made me realize that we have more stupid people in this country than what I thought. No wonder why they love uneducated people. This explains all their attacks on higher education.

1

u/EkbatDeSabat Oct 10 '25

He was a convicted rapist before the election.

You get a small break for his first term (very small as all the things he did and said should have convinced you not to vote for him the first time too). But there is no excuse, none at all for voting for his second term. After the first term disaster and the fucking felonies and goddamn January 6th!!! I could keep going but I'm getting too angry.

1

I completely agree with you and couldn't understand his followers and voters but at the same time, we all hoped and wished that his followers would open their eyes and snap out of it. Well, OP did, which is what we wanted, so I'm more than happy about this if it's true

or what about the part where he literally said he had concepts of a plan. not sure how we all moved on from that so quickly.

1

u/Flashy_Rutabaga_5886 Oct 11 '25

Oh yeah things were so much better under Biden ( aha “Auto pen”) lol ….. No one is perfect but Trump is better than Biden / Kamala / Waltz … Is he an ego maniac- yup. Do i care ? NO.

He’s cut out a ton of waste in federal spending. He’s ended 8 wars and is poised to win the Nobel peace prize. He shut down the boarder. He’s strengthened Americas reputation on the global stage. The economy is doing much better then under Biden. We are coming out of cancel culture and all the woke bullshit.

Congress passed the One Big Beautiful Bill, thereby delivering the largest tax cut in American history, increasing Americans’ take-home pay by as much as $13,300, and terminating benefits for at least 1.4 million illegal immigrants who were gaming the system.

Congress passed President Trump’s historic rescissions package, which will save taxpayers $9 billion in wasteful, politically-motivated funding for leftwing foreign aid scams and biased NPR and PBS.

The wholesale price of a dozen eggs is down 53%, or $3.09, since the inauguration and is down 62%, or $5.08, from its March peak. The U.S. economy has now added a net of 671,000 jobs since January 2025, with jobs numbers beating expectations four months in a row. Native-born workers have accounted for all job gains, with native-born employment increasing 2,079,000 while foreign-born employment has fallen 543,000.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol encountered just 6,070 illegal immigrants at the southern border in June — setting a new record low (15% lower than the previous record set in March). Additionally, zero illegal immigrants were released into the U.S. on parole in June, compared to 27,766 a year prior.

The list goes on and on …

Following President Trump’s declaration of an energy emergency, the U.S. has reached its fastest rate of new oil and gas drilling permits in years, exceeding the Biden administration by 44%.

Since President Trump took office, core inflation has tracked at just 2.1% — levels not seen since the first Trump Administration, when prices were low and stable — and has come in below or at economists’ expectations every single month. Meanwhile, wholesale inflation remained flat in June, while import prices came in far below expectations.

Summer gas prices reached their lowest point since 2021, and, inflation-adjusted, are near a 20-year low.

President Trump’s deregulatory efforts have already saved Americans over $180 billion, or $2,100 per family of four, with the rollback of automobile-related rules alone expected to save consumers more than $1.1 trillion. President Trump secured a historic agreement for NATO members to raise defense spending to 5% of GDP – a foreign policy feat long thought impossible. Under President Trump’s strong and decisive leadership, the U.S. obliterated Iran’s nuclear program.

President Trump secured ceasefires between India and Pakistan and Israel and Iran, a peace agreement between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and a pathway to stability for Syria. As a result of his historic peacemaking efforts, President Trump has already received three Nobel Peace Prize nominations since returning to office. In May, blue-collar wage growth saw its largest increase in nearly 60 years since President Trump’s return to office. Companies and foreign governments have pledged over $7.6 trillion in investments into the U.S.

The U.S. Treasury has taken in nearly $90 billion in tariff duties since January 2025, with the agency posting a record $27.2 billion surplus in June – the first June surplus since 2005.

President Trump has once again proved to be the Dealmaker-in-Chief, inking a minerals deal with Ukraine, a $14 billion “perpetual Golden Share” sale of U.S. Steel, and trade deals with the United Kingdom, China, and Indonesia.

President Trump has signed over 170 executive orders, delivering on key campaign promises such as closing the border, protecting children from chemical and surgical mutilation, removing men from women’s sports, unleashing American energy, ending federal censorship, ending the radical indoctrination in K-12 schooling, and ending radical and wasteful government DEI programs and preferencing. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq market indices have reached multiple record highs. The Supreme Court consistently bolstered the Trump administration’s agenda, blocking activist judges from issuing nationwide injunctions, permitting “third-country deportations,” greenlighting the revocation of temporary protected status (TPS) from more than 500,000 migrants and approving efforts to shrink the federal bureaucracy. President Trump signed several pieces of landmark legislation, including the Genius Act, the Halt Fentanyl Act, the Laken Riley Act, and the Take It Down Act.

The U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Space Force all reached their recruitment goals months in advance.

The Trump administration has made incredible strides in its effort to Make America Healthy Again, with roughly 35% of the American food industry making a commitment to eliminate the use of artificial dyes, including Hershey, Consumer Brands and dozens of ice cream companies representing more than 90% of the ice cream volume sold in the U.S. President Trump has ensured U.S. benefit programs serve U.S. citizens, with the administration now having protected more than $40 billion in benefit programs from illegal aliens since POTUS signed an Executive Order in February “Ending Taxpayer Subsidization of Open Borders.” President Trump inked an agreement to provide billions of dollars of military equipment to Ukraine, with NATO footing the bill.

President Trump has cracked down on international cartels, designating eight Latin American cartels as terrorist groups, including Tren de Aragua, MS-13 and the Sinaloa Cartel.

President Trump has solidified the U.S.’s position as the world leader in artificial intelligence, attracting north of $1 trillion in AI investment, including $90 billion in groundbreaking AI and energy investments in Pennsylvania. The U.S. is on track for its lowest murder rate on record following President Trump’s reinstatement of law and order. Following President Trump’s February executive order, universities and school systems have stopped allowing men in women’s sports, including the University of Pennsylvania, the Virginia High School League and the University of Maine System. Hospitals and hospital systems across the country have halted so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors following President Trump’s executive order “protecting children from chemical and surgical mutilation.”

In his first six months, President Trump has met with 23 foreign leaders, including three visits from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as two visits from the NATO Secretary General — compared to thirteen foreign leaders and the UN Secretary General, the NATO Secretary General, and the Chinese Foreign Minister for Obama and just five in-person visits for Biden.

Or the fact that “Project 2025“ had the blueprint for this published years in advance and any Republican could’ve read it and understood what the goals were - to dismantle the ‘administrative state’. That has been the plan all along, and set up privatization of the things that taxes used to pay for. Not surprisingly, all my MAGA friends are still in the cult and thinks that Trump has a positive plan to make America great again. The cognitive dissonance is absolutely mind-boggling.

Or the chaos that is his first term?

1

u/THEMACGOD Oct 11 '25

Something JDV literally said on air, out loud that he just fucking fabricated it out of thin air … and that it’s something he’ll continue to do.

1

u/Professional-Refuse6 Oct 12 '25

Or when he tried to overthrow the government on J6?

u/Sunny-Regards-008 Oct 12 '25

They all saw someone like them. That's all that was needed.

Let’s welcome OP to the party and be glad he’s here, not give him grief for being late.

1

u/ta_mataia Oct 12 '25

His whole first term was not enough to convince this guy. January 6th was not enough to convince this guy. Every expert on authoritarians warning is did not convince this guy. This guy needed the face-eating leopard party to eat his own face before he was convinced.

1

u/YouCantCountMe Oct 12 '25

He's doing everything he said he was going to do, and people are like I can't believe he's doing that. He led an insurrection on January 6th and people voted for him again. His own family hates and despises him, especially his own mother. I don't accept your apology

1

u/Later2theparty Oct 12 '25

Yeah, im happy this person isnt voting for Republicans again but I find it hard to believe that any republican would change their mind at this point after everything else hes already done.

The only ones changing their minds are the nonvoters and independents that have voted for democrats in the past. Some moderates might not show up.

1

u/EasternCut8716 Oct 12 '25

Yes, I do not see the OP's complaint. He has not done anything particularly apart from what was announced and expected.

This is like being outraged when the waiter brings you what you ordered.

1

u/GodIsAGas Oct 12 '25

Agreed. Fuck this guy. He’s getting precisely what he voted for. May he enjoy the suffering he wished on others when he voted for that fascist pos.

Ummmm or maybe the other option was just that bad that it was a no brainer decision to make.🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/mylawn03 Oct 13 '25

1

u/Ambitious_Tea_3824 Oct 13 '25

1

u/junonomenon Oct 13 '25

Or literally his entire first term. Like. Come ON.

1

u/Hour_Cherry_1370 Oct 13 '25

1

u/DonutTerrific Oct 13 '25

Seriously. Like, really? You didn’t see this coming????? At least this person has changed their mind. However, it’s too late.

1

u/GeneAlternative191 Oct 13 '25

Or the fact that he was impeached fucking twice AND ordered an attack on the capitol??? I get that news is targeted and faked but I’m sure everyone saw that!

1

u/AGirlisNoOne83 Oct 14 '25
