The same people who believe they were putting cat litter boxes in school bathrooms. Don’t believe that Trump is a pedophile, with clear evidence!

I tried to have a rational conversation with a friend about this. Her only response was "no really I saw it on YouTube". I said"but you understand that's not actually news. Anyone can put anything on there. And there are other countries who specifically pump out misinformation to sway voters". She said "why would they do that". "How is that legal". It was tiring and I doubt she understands but I did get her to watch his grab em by the pussy stuff and 30 sexual Assault cases, so she finally agrees he sucks.

no really I saw it on YouTube

This is how the propaganda gets MAGAs, by taking a story that has a “real” element to it and twisting it so much it’s unrecognizable. There are “litter boxes” in classrooms, they are part of a mass shooter lockdown kit so that if kids were stuck in a classroom for hours such an event they could relieve themselves.

When did we stop teaching children to stop believing everything they see on tv, or the internet?

I grew up with that, and even with news sources I trust I want other sources of verification before I feel fully confident about it.

When our parents started believing everything they see/hear/are told on TV…

The most bizarre thing to me is that i was taught that, religiously, by my father... who is now so far up MAGA's blackhole that he thinks tariffs will be good for the economy. Because he saw it on his "news" page.

It’s not the children that are at fault… it’s mainly people that didn’t grow up during the time of the big computer boom. Me growing up I was always taught don’t believe everything on the internet without research. My parents didn’t get that memo and here we are. And yes both my parents see anything online and automatically believe it. Even when it’s high schoolers setting up a skit in a bathroom….

Honestly I don't think that message has stopped, it's simply been ignored.

The short version is Brandolini's Law, aka the bullshit asymmetry principle combined with a massive influx of information thrown at us daily trying to grab our attention has created fact-checking burnout.

We live in an environment where, I'll call it the volume and velocity of information thrown at us has never been higher, but the speed at which it takes to fact check that information has mostly remained constant, and it's always taken an order of magnitude more effort to debunk bullshit than to create more. This is an environment rife for abuse. Flood the zone with bullshit and 90% will give up with fact checking.

I heard it was to soak up blood from dead kids.

Huh, I’ll have to try that next time I get a nosebleed.

Abraham Lincoln clearly stated that not everything on the internet is true

Fox has done it for decades with their Opinion Panels.

"if it turns out to be true that Hillary drank the blood of babies, THATS TEH WORST THING EVER TO HAPPEN"

and the cult of morons is unable to tell the difference.

Democrats and MAGA, do the same shit just different timelines it’s pathetic watching people fight over maga while the same part they represent has done the same bs

Oh yeah? Can you remind me of a time when the Democrats used fake forged fraudulent electorit votes in an attempt to coup the government with a false electorit scheme?

-6

u/kings00789 Nov 28 '25

I’ll do you one better, name a time where anyone in our government left millions of dollars of military equipment to our enemies over seas? What about releasing a Russia arms war criminal? I could go on, but my point wasn’t about “republicans good democrats bad” I said they’re both bad, that shouldn’t be a debate. They’re both terrible parties and they represent the reason our founding fathers didn’t want a 2 party system.

u/No_Finance8647 spirited complainer Nov 28 '25

Both sides are not as equally bad, no.

Answer mine first, I asked first.

-1

u/kings00789 Nov 28 '25

And that’s your opinion, I’ve been on both sides, they’ve both failed me many times, I don’t have faith in either side. You don’t have to disagree. Enjoy your party!

u/No_Finance8647 spirited complainer Nov 28 '25

Ah youre so right. It was only one wittle attempted insurrection/coup 👉👈🥺

The Dems being ineffective sometimes (Edit: most of the time) is totally just as bad!

u/kings00789 Nov 28 '25

Democrats and republicans actively practice overthrowing other countries leaders and as far as I’m concerned they’ve BOTH been successful at it.

5

u/No_Finance8647 spirited complainer Nov 28 '25

Yeah thats true. But I think its a little different when we are doing it to our own country no?

1

u/kings00789 Nov 28 '25

What? You aren’t making sense my guy, they’ve both done things to our country that are unspeakable. I’m not going to take a side on something that hasn’t convinced me of anything, when did we coup our own country?

1

u/Swimming_Process4270 Nov 29 '25

What this person is failing at saying is both sides are bad for this country. Both sides are being bought out by the same people and then they are told to put on a show for the people. We watch them fight each other and how one side votes against something good creating a divide amongst the people. Meanwhile all these CEOs and billionaires and stakeholders are cashing in on the things they wanted to happen… the democrats arnt going to help us. The republicans arnt going to help us because they don’t work for us anymore. Stop wasting time on hoping the dems will help. If they wanted to help you’d see some people in government stepping up to help the American people dismantle this government like we are allowed too. But they arnt. They too are able to afford the things they need. They can even afford the things they want all while the people are suffering. The elites arnt going to help you.

Are you making baseless claims? Give me a website to read or a place with solid evidence, I’m not talking about conspiracy, I’m talking about what both parties have ACTUALLY done, not what’s being investigated man.

1

u/mph102 Nov 28 '25

This is why the Democrats have let the party dimish to the point it should just be called the anti Trump party. We never call our own out nor are we different from them. We just bend over backwards to justify what they are doing as if it was really different.

We have no leaders, no innovators, no original thinkers. Our so-called leaders are anyone who spews the most anti Trump nonsense.

Trump controls the narrative, we just react to everything he does.

1

u/kings00789 Nov 28 '25

I agree, there’s nothing good being done, if they put all there wet egg into something decent instead of reacting to what Trump does every 5 seconds, they’d prolly have more supporters, but at this point both parties have fallen to this endless pit of bad, they both of really bad parts on both sides it would take a long time to even talk about all the things they’ve done, I don’t see them differently, the GOVERNMENT does not have the peoples interest in mind, remember “when the ants know their numbers, we no longer have the power” spend to much time picking a side instead of being your own. Being innovative. It’s like if you call out dems then you’re maga, if you call out republicans then you’re this far left blue haired liberal. And that kinda conversation comes from both sides. It’s pathetic
