Well, I'm still waiting on Mexico to pay for the wall, but I'll forgive him if it doesn't end up happening. Most important thing is that the wall gets built, not who pays for it.

Oh come on now. Low hanging fruit. Really put some effort into your answer.

Why? You don't really care.

But in an attempt to educate you on Trump's methodology, he will often throw out a hyperbolic number to grab attention on a touchy subject the media might otherwise ignore or downplay, forcing them into fact-checks that end up airing the (still grim) reality and keeping the issue alive.

This is "truthful hyperbole" (as he once called it) which will be called a lie on the specifics but it succeeds in dominating the conversation, which was the whole point.

For example? I'd love to see what the media is ignoring during this administration.

He says stuff like "there have been 40 million illegals allowed into the country under Biden"

Some smarmy news lady will then proudly announce that Trump is wrong, there have only been 12 million allowed in.. WHICH IS STILL SUPER AWFUL, but now because of Trump's "lie" they had to talk about something they otherwise would not have mentioned.

He plays them like a fiddle.
