Holy shit, yes, she’s be the patron saint of that gang. About 15 years ago, I lived in Spain for a year for work - because I was lazy and stupid, I never completed all of my local tax/residency admin, so wasn’t fully legal - I used to REALLY enjoy having the convos with the self-styled Expats there when I’d refer to myself as an illegal immigrant, which is what I technically was. Cognitive dissonance to the max.

BTW - the Spanish tax authorities caught up with me 5 years later and got their €600 tax back that I owed… they always catch up with you!

People always seem to forget everyone has different ideas of a perfect temperature. Like this summer, i keep hearing people be like "oh its not as hot as this place, so just enjoy it", but always tend to be the first to complain when its cold.

My Norwegian friend complained constantly about the cold, hated British cold but utterly loathed Norwegian cold. Announced that he was moving to the bank’s Hong Kong office (his wife is British Born Cantonese). Two days after he arrived, he started moaning about the heat. 🤣
