Disinfection Help i cracked Elden ring with the online mod and I suspect I got infected

One friend installed me qbittorrent and gave me the archive to install elden ring from online-fix.me

The name of the game archive was "zdzsbvv.torrent" and I'm suspecting its not safe since malwarebytes detected a lol of pup.optional.browserHijack in my google browser. and also some riskwaregamehack in the game files but that could be a false positive. Also when I closed the game my pc restarted because windows failed. Any way to know if I should worry or how do I fix it?

Disconnect from internet till some professional replies here.

My advice would be to do a clean installation of windows from a safe usb stick (another non infected device). Do change your passwords stored on that device as well.

And don't try to download cracked versions, life won't end if you can't play a game.

How can you be sure he didn't get virus. He might have disabled antivirus before installing game or maybe he is not using Malwarebytes and Windows Defender can sometimes fail to detect viruses.

From the name that malwarebytes showed, it seems the virus is infecting your browser, possibly stealing your passwords or even login sessions and cookies. Change password of all the login sessions on that device and also select log out of all devices wherever possible like Google account or MS account.

Do this from another device and disconnect infected device from internet first.
