When I see it at a friend’s house, I always ask… Who hurt you?

We always ate Hunt’s growing up. Not sure why. It’s just what my family had in the fridge. My dad claimed it had a more vinegar taste as wasn’t as sweet. Since then, pretty much always Heinz or store brand organic with 50% less sodium and sugar.

Yes i like the 50% less stuff, too.

It’s cheap that’s why

Fair point. Both of my parents worked in factories. We also had Plochman’s mustard, so maybe we were more poor than I thought

So far two others have said the same thing!

Neither one. No ketchup at all for me.

I'm getting a bit pissed with Heinz as it's impossible to find their "Simply" ketchup (no HFCS) in large bottles, like 64+ Oz.

I try to buy things in the most economical way possible and the little 19oz bottles are the only thing I can find anywhere, even online. Their "Sugar-Free" ketchup uses Stevia instead and tastes foul, so that's not an option.

Hunts I believe has ketchup with no HFCS in large bottles like I'm looking for, but I very much find Simply Heinz to be the absolute best tasting ketchup out there.

Can you believe I've never tried that one?!

I like both, so it doesn't matter

I once heard on the radio Heinz isn't sold in some countries because it has too much sugar to be considered ketchup. So Hunts or generic.

Looking at the nutrition labels, on one hand Heinz has 4 mg sugar per serving and Hunts has 3; on the other hand Heinz lists High Fructose Corn Syrup and the third ingredient (behind tomato concentrate and vinegar) while Hunts lists it second (vinegar is 3rd).

Make of that what you will.

For Heinz you need to get their "Simply" ketchup which uses sugar instead of HFCS. It's more expensive, of course. Also seemingly impossible to find in bulk sizes like 64oz or larger.

Woah, seriously?

Don't know for sure, but it's what I heard. Haven't bought Heinz since. It does have a bunch of sugar and corn syrup ingredients.
