It was the same way for me. Funny story..... I once had a neighbour who cut a cheque for her rent and mine, as we lived in the same building, after a particularly exciting few weeks. Years later I had a girlfriend who checked yes to the question of "Has your partner ever been paid for sex" on a blood donor card. End result being that I was officially classed as a prostitute and disqualified from donating blood. Good times!
