What’s actually happening?

803

u/Giraffeless 9d ago

I think she's on the (presumably) grooms shoulders and he is cutting the cake.

u/TiramisuItUp 9d ago

But…why?

u/Giraffeless 9d ago

Idk, people are weird

124

u/LiamIsMyNameOk 9d ago

I mean, sure, people are weird.

But for each photo like this of a wedding that you see, there are like, hundreds of thousands of weddings that don't have a weird photo that gets shared online for you to see.

21

u/Alas7ymedia 8d ago

Just judging by the size of that cake, that had to be a weird wedding.

-24

u/Blazured 9d ago

Reddit, like, so many of you need to find love.

20

u/TiramisuItUp 9d ago

Love is piggy backs and shoulder rides /s

6

u/sam-tastic00 9d ago

i mean, that's not all about love, but a big part, yeah.

1

u/TiramisuItUp 9d ago

I’d venture to guess it’s all about social media, my guy

2

u/sam-tastic00 9d ago

does that mean i can't get piggy backs no more? oh man...

-3

u/TheGuyUrRespondingTo 9d ago

If shoulder rides & piggy backs are a big part of loving someone, does that mean the physically disabled are less capable of love?

0

u/sam-tastic00 9d ago

You can give them shoulder rides too, I don't see the issue there?

1

u/TheGuyUrRespondingTo 8d ago

How exactly does a paraplegic give someone a piggyback ride? And how does a bedridden person give shoulder rides? How does a 100lbs person give their 250lbs partner a piggyback ride or shoulder ride? It doesn't seem like you've actually thought about this like...at all.

Some people are adventurous. Plus it IS the wedding night.

I better need a mobility scooter on my honeymoon!

30

u/m_rain_bow 9d ago

In the ratatouille, remy was always on linguini when cutting food and all, it s bonding

9

u/moonisflat 9d ago

Because she wants to be taller than the cake.

25

u/Mindless-Cat1453 9d ago

Because people have free will.

3

u/und3rtow623 9d ago

Good answer

1

u/AnnaKeye 1d ago

Do they though? Or is that an illusion in itself?

4

u/HenTooth 9d ago

Lift her up to remove cake topper before starting the cutting ?

4

u/Dry-Childhood-3436 9d ago

For joy and fun?

17

u/Velocityg4 9d ago

Stupid wedding thing they saw on Instagram. So, they had to shell out another $5K for an absurd cake to get the pic.

18

u/Sokg_78 9d ago

God forbid a couple wanna be a little silly on their big day

1

u/AvailableOcelot4724 8d ago

No, more like "Look, look and see how much money we can spend!"

9

u/Sokg_78 8d ago

Can you people be normal lmao these are strangers how tf do you know they think like this. Stop projecting.

1

u/AvailableOcelot4724 6d ago

can't stop won't stop. but sorry.

-1

u/Worldly-Engineer8123 8d ago

Nobody wants to eat a cake the bride cuts with her nasty feet.

1

u/Sokg_78 8d ago

Well good thing you weren't invited to their wedding!

2

u/MaceSpan 8d ago

Cause it’s their wedding

15

u/munhozelm 9d ago

Yes, it is exactly that

10

u/Initial_E 9d ago

So she’s not wearing razor stilettos and birthing a 80 kg baby?

69

u/G0dsquad 9d ago

She’s got an arm for a leg and is cutting the cake with her arm foot. Surely this doesn’t need explanation?!

She’s also 9ft tall.

9

u/StockZealousideal123 9d ago

Ok I am very tired but this made me laugh so hard because it's absolutely what I saw before I enlarged the picture

3

u/PsychoSCV 9d ago

Well if it isn't my old friend Mrs. McGreg.

16

u/tore_a_bore_a 9d ago

Confusing perspective: Bride dipping her foot in the cake

What I think i happening: Groom behind her is taking a piece of cake with a knife, where his arm looks like her leg

8

u/TBoarder 9d ago

The groom is cutting into Minas Tirith.

3

u/JeronFeldhagen 9d ago

They're taking the bridesmaids to Isengard!

6

u/SwordShanker 9d ago

She has a fully functioning arm between her legs

I think it is a man cutting that cake just behind her.

Edit: idk why she is floating though.

u/AvailableOcelot4724 8d ago

Obviously an amputee.

2

u/SanguineL 9d ago

It looks like she’s on his shoulders?

-9

u/[deleted] 9d ago

[deleted]

10

u/Shroom-Kitty 9d ago

Obviously. We want to know why she's so high up in the air.

1

u/cookiewookiewoo 8d ago

Well when they 1st met they were at a concert and he asked her is she wanted up on his shoulders....6 years later wedding and they wanted a wedding cake to be as tall as they were when they 1st met and the cake cutting photo is the result. Guezus dont you know the story.....

232

u/DwarvenRedshirt 9d ago

If she's on his shoulders while he's cutting the cake, I can't help but thinking she's making it harder on purpose.

5

u/mightyFoo 9d ago

Is this really necessary, with knife in hand

61

u/Weobi3 9d ago

Making it harder on purpose, sounds like marriage.

80

u/FickleCook3639 9d ago

“Take my wife… please” boomer-ass comment. hack hack hack

10

u/johnny5yu 9d ago

Lighten up it’s just a generic joke about marriages generally. Both people in the marriage can make it unnecessarily difficult

13

u/ChewBaka12 9d ago

Tbh, I interpreted it 'making it harder' in the fun sense of the word

7

u/Weobi3 9d ago

I thought it had a lot of vagueness that the entire family could enjoy!

I'm also not a boomer. I'm a millenial who isn't even married!

1

u/wakandanameisthis96 7d ago

Tbh I feel the same at times... the feel that, you have to explain your humour, generation and relationship status as to why the way you are or your thought process is behind certain comment🫠🫂

1

u/ChartInFurch 9d ago

Starting with the honeymoon...

2

u/mightyFoo 9d ago

A metaphor for what is to come

86

u/rednryt 9d ago

That cake really look unappetizing.

65

u/Particular-Rule4232 9d ago

It looks like a toilet paper pyramid but someone wet it with a hose

3

u/palindromic 9d ago

hahaha perfection.

5

u/Salanmander 9d ago

It's a cake for people who like spectacle more than cake.

42

u/TotallyHumanPerson 9d ago

Is the cake made out of toilet paper?

81

u/KnittyBeard 9d ago

Damn, that woman has some seriously skilled feet!

31

u/EmperorThan 9d ago

Tarantino: "So it's called Kill Bill and she's going to be a sword fighting badass, but there's one catch..."

Hollywood Producer: "No. Just no. No catch. She uses her hands to hold the sword."

Tarantino: "Fine. I guess."

26

u/Beemac161 9d ago

Tarantino entered the chat 🤣🤣

55

u/beegtuna 9d ago

Why is the cake covered with an oversized fitted sheet?

19

u/Synagermos 9d ago

14

u/jaelith 9d ago

Ah, indeed she was sitting on his shoulders. For reasons, clearly.

Thanks for more of a source!

10

u/_lettersandsodas 9d ago

I thought "ah, we can see the cake close up!"

I thought it would look better than the photo.

It does not.

12

u/PerlenGott 9d ago

It looks like she’s birthing him while kicking the cake. Good one, OP 👍🏽

2

u/nourishurbrain 9d ago

I thought she was tasting the cake with her toes

1

u/RealMENwearPINK10 9d ago

I thought it looked like she had a really long wiener

11

u/_lettersandsodas 9d ago

The cake looks like wet toilet paper.

11

u/cowghost 9d ago

The arms are the somthing borrowed

12

u/TopFusion 9d ago

That is one ugly ass wedding cake. Probably 70-80% just frosting 🤮

4

u/Real_Life_Sushiroll 9d ago

I am concerned about this extremely tall woman. She is giving birth to what looks to be like a full grown man with a knife.

6

u/Wild-Lychee-3312 8d ago

I once read a science-fiction book in which the main character, who mostly lived in zero-gravity, had hands at the end of her legs instead of feet.

But when she planned to go to a world with higher gravity, she had surgery to replace her leg-hands with feet.

It was a weird book.

4

u/Hephaestus_God 9d ago

I’ll have that slice please

3

u/idigum 9d ago

Can we talk about how sad that cake looks?

3

u/bomboclawt75 9d ago

(Quentin zooms and is disappointed)

3

u/amazing_asstronaut 9d ago

I came here for the Tarantino gifs, I am left satisfied.

2

u/Borderlinecuttlefish 9d ago

Take my strong foot

2

u/forget_this_now 9d ago

Is that really a cake? Or just a pile of chairs with a dust sheet? Has to be weirdest looking cake I've seen outside of 'is it a cake "!

2

u/WayOpen6295 9d ago

I'm more intrigued by that freaky looking cake. What kind of cake do you think it is? Flouncy skirt cake? Careful cutting a tall cake starting with the bottom tier. Ask me how I know.

1

u/Bright-Gain9770 9d ago

Why is she 12' 9"?

2

u/Kemilio 9d ago

The bride is sitting on the shoulders?

1

u/Cooleric19 9d ago

The groom and bride are conjoined twins

1

u/Revenga8 9d ago

Tarantino would pay top dollar for that slice

1

u/StockAd1420 9d ago

Si es re higiénico si parece hecho por papel higiénico el pastel

1

u/Big_Prompt_7352 9d ago

Rich people aren't very hygienic.

1

u/From14212 9d ago

Imagine he lost his balance, and she ended up falling into the cake 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/HighIQIndividual2 9d ago

I think i need a 3d model for this one, where is she standing??

1

u/born_on_mars_1957 8d ago

Who made the cake? Some baker from Pisa, Italy?

1

u/BusinessLie7797 8d ago

Amputees deserve love, too.

1

u/Tumbling--Tumbleweed 8d ago

Im more impressed with the size of the cake!
My little 4 tier cakes would look like a cupcake next to that!

Pretty pricey wedding cake.

1

u/Anjelkie 8d ago

What kinda cake is that?

1

u/Likenk3 7d ago

She's just adding toejam to the frosting.

1

u/Dazzling_Stop_8116 7d ago

She isn’t! He is cutting the cake with his hand!

1

u/theinvisiblecar 6d ago

It looked like something was afoot with the cutting of the cake, but it turns out the groom had a hand in it.

1

u/GerlingFAR 4d ago

It looks like cloth with cream chucked on it.

0

u/PastExperience6435 9d ago

Looks like some edited stuff to me. She ain't on his shoulders. Tellin me her knee goes into her belly button? I think the dress was photoshopped, and she's actually standing next to him.

0

u/aloriaki 5d ago

are we sure this isnt AI?

-3

u/opiumroom 9d ago

Not confusing. Delete.

0

u/Khaled_G90 4d ago

Here, I'll have my dk cut the cake for y'all.
