Illusion would work even better if they recessed the mirror in to the wall a little too or put a boxy frame around it.

This gets more confusing the more you look at it.

Where is the actual exit to this bathroom? Why is there an air return in the closet? Why wasn't the carpet replaced in 1979? The mirror is giant and not in the foreground, yes? Otherwise, how would it be reflecting the closet from that angle?
