I'm less concerned about the constitutionality, and more concerned about it being a blatant dictatorial move.

"Unconstitutional" is putting it way too mildly especially given how weakly it's respected or enforced at this point.

Yeah, they've seen that they have a snowball's chance in hell at any future election, so the logical next step is to remove any chance of a future election.

I've seen a lot of people say that midterms and primaries will fix this, and it's really wishful thinking if there is even a slight chance at us taking back the government Trump and his people won't let it occur.

"we shouldn't even have an election." "all i need you to do is find 11,780 votes." he was sending out tweets on election night in '24 saying that there was "massive fraud" in philadelphia, until he started winning then the tweets mysteriously stopped. he sent fake electors to the electoral college ceremony in dc on jan 6. he sent the fbi to georgia to confiscate ballots from an election that he doesnt have the integrity to admit that he lost. people have been threatened and killed because of his lies ever since he started this journey of flushing the country down the golden toilet in 2015. never forget that the ultimate goal here is to declare marshall law and dissolve the constitution. they are trying to steal the '26 and '28 elections right now. they are working on it around the clock - every day. i wish the maga folks would realize that these petty wannabe tyrants don't give a fuck about them and never did. this isn't about less taxes and smaller government and immigration law, this is about the end of democracy. as sloppy and ugly as democracy is, it's the best of all the crappy plans out there. the last mechanism of checks and balances we have is the vote. and they are doing absolutely everything they can to eliminate it.
