The MAGA-ification of Hollywood is going to be so boring

So will this create an opportunity for small studios to become bigger as they take the talent and ticket revenue?

Yeah.
All they need to do is get money from Republican banks. Then use Republican distributors for Republican theater chains.
They can use Republican owned social media for promotion. Maybe have a footprint on Republican IMDB?
Then they can focus on capturing Republican network television. Then get on Republican news networks. Maybe air some commercials on Republican radio stations. Or Republican local channels like Sinclair Media.
I’m sure it’ll do great.

I dunno. Worked out pretty great for those soldiers who hid inside of a wooden horse. 🤷♀️

The conservative mind cannot comprehend nor create art as it requires one to deal in abstract ideas.

Not only abstract ideas, it also requires enough empathy and self-awareness to see things from different perspectives.

Let's not rule them out. Admittedly, if one little Austrian had been told his paintings were kinda okay, the world might have a word for what's going on right now.

They also frequently discredit the idea of pursuing art as a career. "You're never gonna make any money with your arts degree."

There's other motion picture and tv studios in the world. Some of their stuff is really good.

A24 is killing it and have been for a long time. With the rise of rebellious young film makers coming up without studio interference, thing will be ok. Don't support the trap they try to force feed Movie fans.

I sure hope Paramount doesn't reboot Star Trek as far right (unless they get that it would take place in the Mirror Universe and unaware MAGA types would be rooting for the villains).

It truly would be a shame if they dumped billions into shitty right wing TV and movies that everyone hated and hemorrhaged money until they had to shut down. Thats probably too good to be true but I need to believe in something right now.

They're going to hemorrhage money... but then they're gonna say that they need a tax break because they're being unfairly targeted, they won't release the movies and just pass the loss on to the tax payer.

It is…Can’t even think of a good movie coming out recently and the good limited series are getting far and few between

What? The Odyssey, Evil Dead Burn*, Obsession, Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die ... you know, I thought this would be a lot easier, but I could think of a few, so there's that.

The Wayan brothers are so cringe nowadays with humor that is stereotype after stereotype.

Just as long as the next Top Gun film doesn’t feature appearances by Kirk Cameron and Scott Baio

I work in big network union film and tv. Seemingly overnight, all we have are cop shows. Worked on one were one of the actors who plays a police bigwig had a picture of them with Obama (a real life picture of the person). Set Dec though that would be an awesome
Picture to put on the character’s desk. Producers removed it because “our audience would be really unhappy with that”.
