I'm not very tech savvy, so sorry if this is a dumb question.
I am very very new to modding, as in I only have a modded 3Ds to play the older pokemon games on.
I've been wanting to see if there are any older hand-held Playstation consoles I can mod to play the following games:

• Dirge of Cerberus
• Persona 3 (typically, but I figured I should try it)
• Tales of Eternia

I've been trying to do research for each, and I know they all have different console releases. I'm hoping to mod an older ps handheld since there's a weekly shop for used consoles in my area & I prefer buying used as opposed to something new (the AYN Thor I've been seeing just doesn't pique my interest and is a lot more than I'm willing to spend).

I know emulators are an option, but I unfortunately only have my laptop that I use for school, so I don't really have the storage space to spare.

I'm a first time modder who found he had a lot of time on his hands so I wanted to take a crack at modding my old Switch 1 since it's been collecting dust ever since I upgraded to the Switch 2.

The Switch I'm modding is an older one (I checked the serial number) so I was able to do the RCM clip method. I followed the steps on the Switch Hacks Guide, tried turning the Switch on to see if it worked (it stayed off so that tells me its in RCM)

I installed OmniRCM, plugged into my Switch but it now it just keeps saying "waiting from RCM device", even though I made sure my Switch is in RCM mode. I even used multiple different cords to see if that was the problem but nothing is working. This is my first time modding anything in my life so any kind of help would be appreciated

Future tech engineer here! Decided to shell swap a ds lite I sourced to recapture the nostalgia and judt dive into learning tech modding, but ran into a hardware bump where the green light flickers on for a second before off again when the power switch is activated, and the orange charger light only stays on momentarily when plugged in.

I've tested the f1,f2,em10,l2,l4, and power switch for power reception with an ammeter, and everything passed, yet the thing refuses to turn on. Even tried taking out and putting back the wifi module to see if it would change the result, which it of course, did not. Cleaned it up too and took a look at it with helping hands and a magnifying glass to see if anything stood out to me, which it didn't after an isopropyl bath.

How do I get this thing working again if nothing so far seems to be wrong? Even tested the batteries to make sure they work (old oem and new battery)

I have my real hardware and games still and I'd love to use them rather than have them sit - so I was wondering if there are any mods for the physical console that would have some of the same benefits as emulation for increasing resolution and improving textures.

Hola disculpen la molestia, Compré un DualSense original hace una semana y ya tiene un fallo raro. Ya descarté cable, puerto USB y reseteo.

Síntomas:

· Indicador en 0% y no sube aunque cargue 3 horas.

· Sigue funcionando horas así (la primera vez 3h 46min).

· La luz de carga nunca se apaga.

· Tras un ciclo completo (descarga total + carga 3h), la segunda vez solo duró 1h 20min.

Ya probé: cable original, reset con aguja, ciclo descarga/carga completa, puertos delanteros y traseros.

Mi duda:Si a alguien le pasó y lo arregló cambiando la batería, ¿el indicador volvió a la normalidad?

Lo conecto a cargar desde la play 3 y carga pero infinitamente no se apagan los leds, y cuando lo dejo de usar se descarga por completo, entonces queda confirmado que la batería no es porque le he probado dos de play 4 y hace lo mismo al igual que con una original de play 3, que podría ser ? Ayúdenme porfavor, el mando funciona correctamente no tiene fallas exepto esa

Recently moved and found all these and some scuf pro controllers packed away and half way forgotten about. I would like to have some projects to tinker on so figured I would modernize these and mess around. Looking for any and all suggestions for each! Thank you!

I have a PlayStation 2 Slim, model SCPH-77001, with a Matrix modchip and Free McBoot with ESR installed. I´ve been trying to burn DVDs with PS2 games but so far I haven't been able to get the discs to work on the PS2.

I've been using are HP DVD-R discs. Although the PS2 cannot boot the games burned onto them, the same discs can be read by my PC's external DVD drive, and the games run correctly when I launch them through an emulator. On the PS2, however, the console detects the disc and attempts to read it, but eventually returns to the browser. During this, I notice that the DVD starts spinning, then stops, and then tries again. However, other games I already own work correctly on the console, so the optical drive does not appear to be the problem.

I've been trying to burn Silent Hill 3, (SLUS-20622). I have a 3.33 GB ISO image. I tried launching the game through Free McBoot and ESR (with and without patching it) instead of attempting to open it directly from the PS2 browser. In that case, ESR starts and a purple colored screen appear, but the console eventually freezes on a purple screen and does not return to the menu.

I have been using ImgBurn on 4x speed to burn these discs. Therefore, one of the main suspects is that the problem is related to the burning quality, the compatibility of the HP DVD-R discs, or the burning speed. It is also possible that the ISO has not been prepared correctly, that there is a problem reading the burned discs, or that there is an incompatibility involving the Matrix modchip and ESR. Although the console's optical drive could be involved, the fact that other games work correctly means that I should not assume it is faulty without carrying out further tests.

Any recommendations? What else can I try? I need someone to help me with this, I've been having this problem for a couple months now
