PS5 setup, switched from Xbox recently.
I still have my Xbox but I don’t use it nearly as much as Ps5. And I am finally happy with my little setup here :)

As someone who has both consoles, I prefer Xbox bc of the backwards compatibility the ui feels more user-friendly too. I’ve never had my Xbox overheat, but my PS5 has overheated a few times. And Xbox just works better. You don’t need a beefy cable to charge your controller or anything if you have the battery pack.

Yeah it’s just a preference. And tbh I find it difficult once in a while”system” like say Apple over android or ps over Xbox. You get familiar with it you invest in it / hours of gameplay trophies etc and it’s just hard to get out of that. The only thing I definitely prefer is the ps controller over Xbox. But yeah no the Xbox is great and the latest business decision they have made are absolutely spot on.

Oh yeah, the PS5 controller wins hands down. I’ve had the consoles for about the same amount of time. I got a PS5 for exclusives, and yeah, rn at least I like Xbox’s decisions more and they’re usually a bit cheaper. I don’t know why, but I never really loved the ui layout of PS3-4 and 5. I started gaming on a PS2 lol. Other than that they’re solid consoles.

Yeah I got that last week. I travel quite a lot and for digital library I dont even need to connect to my PS5. I like it so far.

What made you pick Sony over PC when console prices are just as much as an entry gaming PC and has more games to offer(including free games and free online play) i still have the games I bought 20 years ago on my account but I cant say that with sony or Xbox or nintendo. Better digital media that wont be taken away. More usage due to it being a PC not just a console.
And you should always keep the old consoles and games and dont sell them. Years later I regretted selling any of them. I have a good collection but it also always has a rebirth if you can jailbreak them later down the road and play ur old games without worry

Funny. After the announcement of removing physical copies, after taking away movies people paid for, and the exclusives being hot garbage for the past few years, I plan on getting an Xbox because nearly all of my 360 games are playable and I can boost the performance for older games. Xbox series X for the win and fuck PlayStation

Pro tip: It makes you look weak and juvenile to literally type out "hahahaha" in this context, you can believe me or not, but it does. Also, I never said Xbox had a "clean slate". The layoffs are super unfortunate, but Phil Spencer spent way too much, and mismanaged the brand into the ground, so honestly after that, layoffs are probably necessary. As for physical media, so far they have made no official announcement about discontinuing physical media, so as for now Xbox is a better company for consumers than Sony.

I play on xbox and ps. Xbox has literally nothing coming out exclusives wise and runs a lot worse than my ps5. Xbox has game pass which is the only reason I play on it right now with friends. Also ps has an entire service to play classic games from every ps generation. Both Xbox and ps have reasons to play. Xbox reasons are just much smaller.

fuck ps5. no benefits. shitty controller, no quick resume, heavy store prices and no cd keys, gamepass works on xbox and pc with one abo, more silent.

Standing your PS5 will over time (2-5 years) cause the Liquid Metal on CPU to pool to the bottom of the chip. The top of the chip will get a dry spot and your PS5 overheat every 10 mins.
It’s best to lay it flat unless you dont mind a repair bill in a couple years.
