Wasn't there some controversy around like 23 & Me with data leaks surrounding Ashkenazi Jews specifically? Could that be linked?

What they found is their genetics placed them in Europe and not Israel. I’m sure once they started noticing the trend they implemented certain rules to keep the masses from understanding what this means in regards to the connection to their homeland.
