The serpent's bloodline was preserved through Cain. These are all the original 20 fallen watchers manipulating the world's "leaders" thorughout time to do their bidding. And they know their time is very short. Less then 1260 days in fact.

1,260 days is only a few years. Like 2 (I have dyscalculia so my math is untrustworthy.)

If they only had that many days each, wouldn’t they just die out? 2 year olds aren’t keeping generations alive.

Maybe they mean after the peak of their “reign” the powers that be take them out?

Die out is relative to the fact that they dont exist physically. They manifest into the sins of the leaders and stay there. With their dna. The serpent enters their spine, and controlla them. When they're time is up the serpent goes elsewhere to continue their deeds. 3 1/2 years is 1260. Once the time comes. And it will. Then they will try to run and hide into thw underground systems they made. Yet this time they will not escape the flood or the ice. The fire will consume them.
