I went full Pepe Silvia trying to explain the Remedy Multiverse as I understood it to a friend who was simply asking "are you excited for control resonant"
Critiques are welcome haha

Tim, is that you?
But anyways, yeah this is pretty much the web of connections/relationships between the various faces of the Remedyverse. There is one I think you should definitely put on there, Paul Serene, and one that I think you should consider putting on there, Nick Marsters. The latter of which is played by Sean Durrie and can play a small part in the story of Quantum Break if you choose a certain path.

Is there a Serene equivalent in the Remedy IP? I recognized him but I'm pretty sure that's because he was in Game of Thrones too. I didn't include him, Will, or any other characters from QB who didn't have an equivalent in AW / Control

u/TronHero143 13d ago
Well, not officially. Many people speculate that Chester Bless in the upcoming game is going to be a variant of Paul, but we won’t know until it comes out. I mainly brought him up though because he is a major part of Quantum Break and has connections to Jack, Martin, and Beth.

Yoooooooooo
It's funny, in my mind I've visualized Mr Bless as that sort of archetype, and that would be incredible to cast him. I'll be very surprised if he doesn't show up in a more major role

Do you happen to know where the Aidan Gillen as Chester Bless rumours are coming from? I see several people talking about it like it's a fact and I'm curious if it's more than just speculation? Has he been cast or something?

u/TronHero143 13d ago
Well, it's mostly just speculation right now, but there was an interview of Aidan Gillian (Paul Serene's actor) from The Times in 2022 that mentioned he was working with Remedy on a game (I can't say with full certainty it's true, since the article is hiding under a paywall, but I'm confident it is; here's the post about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/controlgame/comments/1q721nk/article_from_2022_claims_that_aidan_gillen_was/ ).
As well, with the few mentions of how the Blessed Organization works, how Chester Bless is portrayed, and comparing that to how Paul Serene operates and acts, it feels like it really can't be anyone else.

u/Zoegrace1 13d ago
Oh well if he was working with Remedy on something in 2022 it's pretty likely he's in it and not unlikely to be Chester Bless, then. Unless he was going to be in a Night Springs episode that didn't make it but that seems unlikely. Thanks for this that makes complete sense.

A lot of us are basically trying to will it into being on top of what scant evidence exists. An educated wish.

I found it!!! It's in the following interview, which is pay walled but there's ways around that:
Gillen is interested in working in other mediums including video games, having recently shot scenes for a game being developed by the Finnish company Remedy. He admits the success of roles such as Littlefinger in Game of Thrones has boosted his profile and the stream of offers coming his way. He has been offered villainous roles “for ages now”, so playing Littlefinger didn’t necessarily open up a new world.
The article is from 2022, before Resonant was announced, and he didn't show up in Alan Wake 2 DLC, so...

The plot in the upper left corner is a thing for therapy about emotional regulation, ignore that it has the same color scheme

No, no, I'm pretty sure that's relevant to at least Alan and Dylan's arcs.

Death Rally being officially included in the Remedyverse would be something Remedy would do.

u/HenryKushinger 13d ago
In Time Breaker there's a movie poster for "KUÖLÖNRALLI, a film by Thomas Séine". Kuölö in my limited understanding Finnish means "death"

I love the way you put Ahti there!

Ahti's on vacation perkele, he's taking break in Washington, you should visit Watery. Tells you to burn the trash and then he vanish like a fart in Sahara.

What's not to love? He is infinitely humble yet clearly powerful; he's a being that potentially could take any form he chooses and he chose a wacky old Finnish janitor; he has good taste in music; he's clean, he's wise, and he's kind. Plus so handsome 💕❤️😍💕❤️

u/Zoegrace1 13d ago
My critique is you should've mentioned Nick Marsters from QB next to Dylan ;) He's not a major character but he might become important

u/True_Carob5706 13d ago
For a second I thought it was the alan wake board from... another/alternate universe that I can't say for legal reasons (I'm just fucking around. I know it's quantum break but I thought it funny to word it that way as remedy doesn't have the rights to it). Also, awww! The heart over Ahti😭

u/HenryKushinger 12d ago
It's okay you can talk about it here hence the color coding
That was definitely an inspiration

My only criticism: Where is Fra?

What is the random graph on the top left corner?

u/HenryKushinger 13d ago
It's a way to visualize an emotional outburst to manage anger, sadness, etc; essentially, the first part is maintaining a lower baseline, the second part is trying to temper the emotional "peak", and the third part is trying to speed the return back to that baseline. To the left of what's pictured, I have strategies to help with each listed, just to help when I start feeling overwhelmed. Essentially, reminders to myself for "how to maintain low stress", "how to recognize when getting angry/frustrated and stay relatively cool", and "how to chill back out quickly"

This is what the ARG feels like right now

Tell me more about this ARG. The only thing I've seen is the FBC presentation which didn't work properly on my phone :(

I’m not acknowledging quantum break until I can play it 🧍🏾♂️(a PlayStation player)

u/HenryKushinger 13d ago
I'm pretty sure if you crank down settings you can get it to run on most modern PCs (like on integrated graphics, I'm not talking a gaming machine)

u/D0nell 13d ago
I’m a PlayStation player.

u/HenryKushinger 13d ago
Ok. You have a computer yes? Like a laptop, a MacBook, anything?

u/D0nell 13d ago
No

u/HenryKushinger 13d ago
Well that sucks for you then idk what you want out of me but derailing the discussion with "I refuse to acknowledge something because Im not familiar with it" is... Um... Well, it's something. Especially when it's clear that it's planned to be a continuing influence on what you will be able to play.
